Nice job, but that's not how Mick plays the solo actually. It's not a pull off on the G string like most players would assume. Mick picks the first note on the B string and hammers/pulls the 2nd and 3rd note on the G string without picking at all. It's less staccato and the only way to get the sound correct. I know it's counter-intuitive, but Mick did lots of quirky, unconventional things. That's what made him such a great player IMO. I'm the guitar player in a Foreigner tribute so I have studied Mick's style and way of playing pretty extensively. Still, nice job.

Lou played a black tie party here a few years back. The party had one of those photo booth things. At the end of the show he signed the picture of my wife and me. I have it framed on the shelf above my chair where I watch JJ's videos, right next to the picture of Elvis and Nixon. I also have the picture of Keef on the 72 tour with the bottle of Jack on the amp and the pull-top Coors. And one of Elvis from the 72 San Antonio show with a white jumpsuit and the white lion belt.

The story I read was Mick Jones was playing guitar for someone in Paris. The Beatles played at the same show and they got to talking. (Mick swore and John heard him, thinking he was French.)

Seconded - I'd love to know, too I have a 1982 GLPCustom (L/H) & it looks identical , but of course, ONLY has TWO pickups Am guessing HIS (one in video) is either REALLY OLD , or , at best/worst is a 1970's Norlin re-issue Mine also has that strange / wierd / likeable "tobacco stain" appearance ("patina") on the binding

just forget playing the 2nd string then, and use your index finger on the low e third fret. sounds the same to my ear. then use your pinky for the next 2 shapes

Instead of your thumb try using the big toe of your left foot. It could open up all sorts of new possibilities once one gets in the habit of doing that. 🦍
