In the 90's all the cartoons and reboots had this trend to being cool and rip, but this show managed to stay faithful to the original Felix shorts with all the surrealistic nature. I may say its a bit too nonsense, but its a good nonsense. And the animation is really good. This is Sonic AOSTH done right.

This series was successful in a way that very few reboots are. It managed to bring the character up to date, whilst remaining totally faithful to the original source material. If only all reboots were done right like Twisted Tales Of Felix, I wouldn't dislike the idea of them so much.

Yes, but then you have the 1950s TV cartoon of Felix, which was the complete opposite. In fact, there is one episode in THIS reboot where they make fun of that old 1950s reboot.

@@CSLucasEpic Oh yeah there was that old colored cartoon, and the TV show where he got his signature Magic Bag and the professor. That version reminds me of old Hanna-Barbera cartoons, with the very limited animation. I think those two iterations of Felix are some of the worst representations of the character. I think the movie (which came before TToFC) was based on these cartoons.

I like the end when Felix laughs only to remind you that he is the same nice little cat since ever. Even though this show was a mindfuckery lol.

I think in that way, the intro mirrored the show itself. It's mental and surreal as hell, but at it's heart, Felix is the same adorable and cute cat that he's always been. lol

Fun fact: The show's theme is sung by creator/producer Don Oriolo, who's also the man who helped jumpstart Meatloaf's career.

Screwed by the Network: Part of the reason the show tanked so hard in ratings was because of it being plopped in very poor time slots; Half the time "Twisted Tales" was completely bumped by sports shows, making it very difficult to establish regular viewers. To make matters worse, the show was also plopped directly opposite to X-Men, which was a huge ratings hit at the time.

If I remember correctly there were also revival cartoons of Mighty Mouse and Beany and Cecil around the same time as this. This version of Felix seems closer to the old 1930's comic strip and silent cartoons than with the 50's/60's cartoon with the exception of the polka dot bag.

I remember this cartoon from the 90s and I used to watch it when I was a kid. It was shown in the UK and my home country Ireland on TCC (The Children's Channel) in the middle of the 90s but sadly TCC doesn't exist anymore and it closed down in spring 1998. The British television channel is now defunct. I think it is one of the most bizarre cartoons and it is one of the most underrated 90s cartoons of all time as well.

Blimey that makes me feel old, I vividly remember that channel when I was a kid (I turn 30 in a few months) It was a good channel. I also remember first seeing Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog on there along with Earthworm Jim. And Felix of course. I'm sure there were other shows that aired on there but I can't recall them.
