Nice vid Andy. I have recently moved to Trimley St Martin, love the area, so much to see. Always going down to Felixstowe Ferry on my push bike, great place, then a walk back along the sea wall. I ventured across on the Ferry Summer last year and cycled up through Bawdsey, Alderton, Hollesley then past MOD Woodbridge and on through Woodbridge then back round to Trimley St Martin. Had a motorcycle years ago, do miss it a bit but then the cycling keeps me a lot fitter. Just subscribed. Great stuff.

All the places you've mentioned are lovely places to visit, in fact, I have to say that Suffolk is a delight. Sorry for not replying a bit earlier :)

Great vid Andy, I really do enjoy watching the different places you show. Great history of that house, My parents survived the blitz during wwII in London. Correct me if I'm wrong did or do they make a sweet (lollie, candy) called Felixstowe rock? I remember my parents talking about it, I could be wrong.

Hi mate, sticks of rock are produced in most British seaside towns and yes they do have the name of the town running through the centre. Safe riding :)

Good one mate - love the nonsense especially, lol. I think as we get older the dumb things we do just get worse, but they make for good stories ;-) WTF was that copper thinking pulling a van over on the bridge, with no lay-by lane?

Great andy. used to visit flixtowe ferry all the time. nan and granddad met at bawdsey. They lived in the row of terraces on the golf course. If you walk in front of them you get a great view of bawdsey

Such a long way round from Old Felixstowe to Bawdsey, the old ferry makes a hell of a difference. Especially if you're walking or biking (push bike, that is). Lovely spot I have to say, now going to have to have a trip to Bawdsey in the spring RSMF

Very small place by the looks of it, lovely bit of history and I'm sure glad I'm not the only one who looses things. Forgot me bloody glasses on the last Vlogget. Any road up lovely place you live will have to have a ride down one day.

Hi Andy, great vids, but I would like to see more on the Manor and it's secrets that nobody seems to talk about..? and the lack of information on the net - I mean are you aware of the secret tunnels under the Manor connecting it to the old radar rooms and the old catacombs that can still be seen from the east side of the beach - access via hidden man holes behind the Manor will lead you to the huge underground cavernous rooms beneath the Manor.. This my friend would make an awesome documentary...

Andy, I think you have been mis-informed about Bawdsey Manor. Never heard of any code breaking going on there. It was a research establishment where Watson-Watt and others developed the Home Chain radar.

On that subject, I think I was quoting an urban legend, not sure myself what the hell went on there. But your explanation is more plausible than mine lol RSMF

The story of radar development is fascinating, especially for an ex radar engineer like myself. It was the work of Robert Watson-Watt and his team that led to the Chain Home network which ensured Hitler's bombers usually had a reception party airborne to meet them. Bawdsey continued as a cold war monitoring station well into the 80's or 90's. You must have seen all the scanners and towers there. There is now a small museum for vistors but I cannot really recommend it as all they have left is the main switch for the transmitter block and an old magnetron! @@suffolkandy

I bet you feel a right Penguin lol. Links land is land reclaimed from the sea and as it was no good for farm land they built the first Golf Course's (Links) on it. What a mine of useless information the Viper is :-)) Just by the by there is a par 3 that plays straight across the road. You could say a LORA LORA Lorries I guess Andy LOL

Ya daft bugger, ya probably did what I sometimes do, which is to put a glove near the clocks put my keys on the glove and then take my other glove off and put that on top of the other glove, then when I pick my gloves up as a pair the keys disappear, lol, ya never know buddy, maybe you picked up a poltergeist pillion when you visited one of those old churches! I was always told that, that old mansion was used to plot all of our ships out at sea, along with the enemy u boats etc, Nice Ride Buddy, Ride Safe.
