I haven’t seen this picture since I was 13 now I’m almost 60. One of the little joys of the Internet, that you could remember an old film and find a clip just like that

It's the best feeling to find a movie or song that you almost wondered if you just imagined it since it's been so long. KZitem (if the videos aren't taken down for nonsense) is great for that

Fellini movies made money GLOBALLY . So they knew he was a pretty good investment. Back in the 1970s there were MANy "revival" movie houses as well as ART theatres. So even when the movies "first run" was finished, rentals were still active. But , yeah- they had no problems creating COLOSSAL sets for Fellini's "vision". P.S. You also save a TON of money by NOT hiring "A LIST" stars . Fellini never needed A Listers. HE was the A Lister. So without spending MILLIONS on star salaries: You have a LOT of money for BEAUTIFUL production design and set construction !

What a cacaphonous mess this film was! No wonder Donald Sutherland hated being in it! I'm currently watching the Frank Finlay/Denis Potter Casanova. At least the man takes his clothes off - very nice too - which IS most of the point, n'est pas? Poor Fellini intended his film to be art. Potter (admittedly with Vivaldi's help) achieved it.
