Be careful not to stress yourself too much about the wedding dress too close to the wedding. You want to enjoy the time leading up to the wedding not be extremely stressed! The good thing is that your dress and sleeves already look perfect. iI you did no more embellishing than just the belt you would still look stunning. Winter princess! I am sure some nicely placed pearls of beads will look beautiful but I truly don't think the dress needs it. It is the opposite of boring the way it is now (the length needs to be finished obviously). And your Dagmar looks amazing!

Thank you so much❤️❤️ Yes!! I definitely don't want to end up super stressed out😬 But I also want to work on the wedding dress the whole time leading up to the wedding, both so it can be part of the whole journey and to give myself time to figure out exactly how I want it😅🥰 The belt did A LOT for the whole look, and getting the sleeves done helped too! I don't want to do too many embellishments, but I don't feel like the main wedding dress is very bare. When paired with the mohair, it's fine because there is so much going on with the different fabrics, but on its own, it's very plain/too plain? And I think it's very likely the mohair will have to go at some point throughout the day😅 But as I said, I can't really make my mind up😅😂 The length might be a good place to focus first!

@@norwegianknitter In the end all that matters is that you are happy with it! My style is very simple so I don't think the dress will be plain without the sleeves. The mohair skirt adds a lot of interest. But if you want some more - go for it! I would probably try to make a drawing of the bead placements. Or copy the placement from a picture of a wedding dress. Coming up with a design completely on your own isn't easy. It will be gorgeous in the end whatever you do.

I can never believe just how much you put on your needles in a few weeks' time! I would be stressed too, though, with that many knit gift ideas. I started my gift knits in August, and while I'm sure I'll get them done, I'm struggling to prioritize. Best of luck with finishing the Basket of End Weaving before the start of the year. You've got this!

Hi Oline! Oh my goodness, both of your cabled sweaters are stunning! You are definitely inspiring me to cast on the cabled Lauder vest which I have the pattern for. You have a perfect reason to delay gifts until after the holidays because of your wedding dress! I think that gifts are wonderful anytime of year and so I am wondering if you might feel less stressed if you got more knitting done on the dress sooner rather than later. I think that if it were me, I would want to get all of the knitting finished on all parts of the dress and then decide where to put the beads as the finishing touches (but of course that is just me). I am almost finished with my first Emotional Support Chicken which is a great stashbusting project, and of course there are so many beautiful blanket projects out there where you can make squares and have it be like a memory blanket of your different projects!

Be careful if you want to put beads on the skirt because it could be very uncomfortable when you sit down. The wedding dress is lovely as it is to me but you’ll look fabulous whatever you decide. X

Could you use the 100g left over from the Sophie Shawl to make long fingerless gloves/wrist warmers to go with it? I really want to make the Zipper sweater too but I’m not sure I have the skills. I just swatched for Cardigan No. 8 for my daughter in law. She is so knit worthy ❤ I’m almost to the decreases on an Oslo Hat. Also knitting socks for a 6 yr old. It’s finally cooled here and the mojo is very strong! I think your sweaters are beautiful! The Dagmar is quite popular and I love the color you chose!

Enjoyed watching your podcast as always. My mind was blown with your beautiful wips. I was surprised when you said you took your beautiful cabled sweater with you for travel knitting. I too love a good cabled sweater but that’s my wip that I focus on and don’t anyone talk to me or for sure I’ll mess up. I love to gift knit as well but I often make socks they are appreciated and require much less of a commitment. As for your fiancé, he’s a better man than my husband. My husband pays no attention about what I’m knitting and would be clueless if it was for him. 😂

What a shame about Daisy felting 😳 - and pilling. Disappointing. Have you washed Nord in the machine? I don‘t understand it being marketed as a sock yarn when it specifically says it should be hand-washed, so I‘ve been avoiding it… it looks like it would felt really easily. I just made seat pads in Drops Snow for my daughter and family and they worked out really well 😊It was the first time I felted anything. Have you timed yourself sewing in ends?! I bet you are surprised at how little time it takes and that could motivate you 😉
@norwegianknitter
Күн бұрын
Yes, it really was🫠 I had hoped the felting would help the pilling, but alas.. I'm pretty sure I have washed Nord in the washing machine, but not more than once or twice. I have some socks in drops nord, and they have not felted in the washing machine, but they are pretty close to being felted at the heel, ect, from wearing them. I have tried to time myself, but I get so easily distracted and end up doing everything else at the same time, too, so I can't get a representative time😅😂

Hei! Kjedelig at ulla di blir tova i vask!! 🙌🏻👏🏻👍🏻

Hei!

🤞🏻 Krysser fingra for oss begge framover!

I think you just knit right in front of him and wherever and don’t say anything about it, if he asks what you are knitting just say it’s for yourself or another person in your life that he wouldn’t guess …. I think it will be hard to get it done in a month without him seeing it so seems easier to just fake him out 😂
@norwegianknitter

@heatherr9201 I would do that if I could! Unfortunately, he's too interested in what I do😂 He very well knows it's the same yarn and colors I made mine and my son's melange sweaters in. I could maybe fool him for a bit, but he would realize once it started really looking like a sweater😅
