***** ... why do we need the same percentage of gender pass any standard?
@frbe0101
8 жыл бұрын
Well I don't think a presidential fitness plan is the same thing as military service. It is fine to have sexed standards for say being healthy, or a men and women's league sports time, but it is another thing to have two standard for how well you can kill or be killed. Lets say we have an engineering competition something like "build a rocket" the fastest highest flying rocket wins, the gender ratio is irrelevant and will probably skew male as fewer women are going to give a fuck about rockets. In your example of national fitness or sports there is no external judgment, anyone can set up any rules for victory, but when there is external judgment, when you can't set the rules for victory, then all that matters is who ever has got the best ability. So lets say you need people that can drag other people out of a firefight, haul all their equipment by foot while shooting at people, you need people that can kill and not die, you can't create a different standard for men and women, unless the enemy is going to treat the women better! A universal military fitness standard would simply determine your role in war, from army base cook to special forces marine. There would be plenty of military roles that women would be fine at in even gender ratios, some even in combat, military pilots for example, women are usually smaller, lighter, have shorter heart to brain distance. Look at the air force, their biggest test is how many Gs you can take, that is it. Centrifugal force does not give you special credit because of your genitals.

She isn’t totally infertile. What happens is when women lose too much body fat, they become infertile during that time period. Bottom line is this. Females only want equality when it’s in an air conditioned building and they want the high paying jobs in those roles only. Women skipped upper body intensive portions of the obstacle course. When we shot the rifle, they didn't even bother going to the 500-yard line. Excuse me? When you have that type of disparity in training requirements (and outright skipping obstacles), what does that tell you? I am a soldier in the austrian special forces the "Jagdkommando", we had several women (dozens) try to pass the entrance examination and not one was able to. There is a reason training in the military is so rigorous and standard is so high, because in combat that can mean the difference between life and death. If they pass the entrance exam, by all means, let them join, but there has to be ONE STANDARD for everybody.

@thenobleandmightybeaver4411
7 жыл бұрын
Let's be clear, you are talking about fitness requirements for a special forces unit, correct? I agree that no one should be in the special forces who cannot pass the standardized testing and training. I am Canadian Armed Forces and to my knowledge there are no women working as assaulters in JTF2 (even if there were we wouldn't know about it because their identities are suppressed for obvious reasons). Canadians have allowed women into all positions since 1989 which means we have female infanteers and combat arms soldiers. They are the gross minority of combat arms because most women choose other trades. To be fair most men choose other trades though as the combat arms do not make up the majority of soldiers, sailors and airmen. The women I have met who are combat arms are fit and tough. I know lots of men who have worked with them and they have expressed no issues so long as they can keep up; this sentiment applies to men as well. If you can physically hack the combat arms they will force you to change trades regardless of your gender. The Canadian fitness standard called the FORCE test and the Battle Fitness Test are not prorated for gender or age which means every person in the the CAF must pass the same fitness test, period. There are incentive levels for the FORCE test now which account for age and gender but the minimum standard is the same for everyone. Beyond that all unit PT is done together and there is not a male/female version of PT. If we go on a march everyone carries the same weight, everyone goes the same distance and everyone has to finish by the same time. This also applies to runs and bodyweight training. There is more of an issue with certain trades being less fit than actual gender issues. There are additional physical standards based on specific occupations such as paratrooper, Search and Rescue Techs, Special Operations Forces, divers, Fire Fighters, flight crew and so on. These standards are also gender neutral which means any women in these positions have met that standard. I would take a fit women over an unfit man any day and that seems to be the sentiment with my male colleagues. There are women who are unfit for combat roles, but we must bear in mind there are lots of men who are unfit for those jobs too. Making a blanket statement that every woman is unfit does not bear out when the opportunities are made available.
@donkshock

Yes, in my case I am talking about fitness requirements for a special forces unit and as I said, if women pass the entrance exam, they should be allowed in. I am NOT suggesting NO WOMEN period. apart of there anger is "Men can phsyically do things women cant" and then "Men choose not to do things women excel at" Its the very principal that men mostly feel "I can do everything better than you, other than the physical act of giving birth" from architecture to clothes design, to math and physics. I remember my auncle told me in 10th grade back in the mid 80s his highschool gym teacher stood him up in front of his class (6ft male 210lbs) that he was stronger and faster then 99% of all women who have ever lived (he was a pretty good track and field). the term they used to use back in the 80-70-60s was penis envy, women simply feeling they got the short end of the stick in the gender lottery. that has been subverted now into feminism the want for men to be viewed as equal to men in all areas in society. Feminism back then was women simply wanting to have the same governing rights and access, Feminism now is women saying "well im not exactly able to succeed with only the same access so you need to change the barrier for entry AND make laws for me only to garauntee i succeed". I thnk every man today would be a 60s feminist "yeah let them vote, yeah let them get a bank loan, yeah let them run for office" I dont think we have an issue with that anymore new feminism though is an entirely different beast based off inequality

Woman should be given the opportunity to pursue any path they want. But they shouldn't get their panties in a bunch if they fail either. People think that equality means you automatically get a position, but it doesn't mean that. It means you're given the opportunity to prove yourself instead of being looked past because if your gender. But physically, men are superior. But I also think that woman are more superior when it comes to tact and strategy. Stop trying to change nature, and see the genders for their strengths and weaknesses (with the occasional rare cases).. but EVERYONE should be given the opportunity to try.

Firstly, gender not equal sex. A transwomen still has the sex of a man, but the gender self identification of a female. People seem to mix that up allot, which is understandable. Secondly, as a exMil REAL stormtropper sergeant that have both trained male and female soldiers. There are a decent amount of women that are good enough, no you dont need to be better than all the guys just because you are one of 5 women in the platoon just because conservatives like to think that is a good argument. Thirdly, allot of things in the military were catering to men and male interests. Everything from how lectures were given to what tests were done. Yes, there is a physical difference, but when someone had to carry the whole tent on their back, because the buttons holding each part together froze, it wasnt the smallest guy that got that job ether. Having a greater pool of recruits to pick from is always better, males tend to perform better if they compete with a few females and 90% of jobs in the military are NOT shock troops. Lastly, it is mostly just special forces that have very high standards for physical fitness that females have a hard time reaching. Sure, a soccer sprint, bounding, trench clearing and massive amounts of held held weapons operating shock troops needs to be fit as well, but its nothing one cant train a female to do as long as she is not too short. Oh and special forces are just slightly better infantry in the field. I have knocked out (in training of course, not reality because they are our allies. :) ) a bunch of services from SAS, Navy seals to FSK and others. When a CV90 (our troop carrying IFV) night vision system detects you. It doesnt give a shit if you are female or male, special or not. Being in the infantry in combat is very hard. Along with the physical hardships one has to deal with the mental and emotional aspects of watching people being blown up or shot. It’s also hell when you get shot or wounded. One almost has to lose his or her humanity to deal with the realities of war, especially once they’ve shot or killed someone. On patrols or sweeps we would run across dead enemy bodies rotting. A LOT of us shut down emotionally and mentally in Vietnam which caused PTSD later on in life. Physically it was very demanding. I remember when we went on weeks long or months long operations we had to carry a lot of gear including c rations, lots of ammunition our own plus belts of M60 machine gun ammo, grenades, hard hats, canteens, flak jackets, rifles, 2.5 rockets, LAAWS. Before going to Vietnam I weighed 170. When I was medivacced I was down to 145. A lot of days we only had one or two cans of of c rations to eat. Resupply of rations and water were not always available. Most of our drinking water came from streams, or ground water. We slept in fighting holes that we dug that got a foot or so of water from the rain. I can only remember one time when we got a change of jungle utilities. We were filthy most of the time. There were no shitters in the bush. If you had to take a shit you took your entrenching tool somewhere dig a hole and squat over the hole and shit. And you better hope to hell you had enough shit paper from the C rations they issued you. We were on sweeps or patrol every day. At night our platoon would send out a depleted squad about 500 meters from our defensive perimeter on ambushes or gang bangs as we called them. We never got much sleep in the bush as we always had 25 or 50 per cent security at night. Most of the time we had to hump wherever we went. We hardly ever went back to our home base. The hardest part of combat was having to retrieve our dead and wounded. I can’t imagine too many women wanting that king of experience.

Well, it's like this, man. A VERY SMALL percentage of women want this position in combat arms. Of that percentage an astounding few, and I'm talking a shockingly small amount, will have what it takes to make it without lowering standards etc. So, America believes we should absolutely accommodate them by dropping millions of dollars in to surveys, studies, new bathroom facilities, more barracks and a slew of other issues I would have to think about. All this for literally 10 -15 women. And more than likely, burnout will hit and they will move on to another job set, and others, new ones that possibly will not follow in there steps because they will figure out what we have known. Infantry sucks. So, rather than say hey, this is how it is, we bend over backward to fulfill anyone's whim and fancy. So, I think America should pay for me to get pregnant, no matter the absurdity of it. Now, I'm not a woman hater. Love them, I personally oversaw the insertion of the FET team in Afghanistan (female engagement team) and those ladies did well at that job. But not everyone deserves a participation trophy, man. I just retired after 20 yrs in the Corps, and there is so much more to it than just saying OK give it a try.

Being blind should not prevent someone from being a fighter pilot or a forward observer in the artillery.I look forward to whole battalions of Marine infantry made up of quadriplegics and women. Also why should tourettes sydrome bar someone from being an air traffic controller at an airport or on a carrier. We must be fair and provide equality opportunity.

*0* women out of *30* have passed men's infantry officer training. Truth be told, if I have to cover the front of a building and I have to trust a woman to keep the enemy from entering the back of the building and stabbing me in the back.... Let's just say there's no way in hell I'm getting any sleep that night. You can't have a someone who can be easily overpowered covering your 6. Enough of this nonsense. Even if one manages to make it through the training and ends up with her boots on the ground in a war zone, she's more a liability than an asset.

I remember taking the Presidential Physical Fitness tests in high school. Males had to do 20 pull ups (at least) and all women had to do was hang on the pull up bar for 20 seconds. I don't agree with all the commenters here, but on the topic of strength and endurance, there simply is no question that men do better than women.
@YamiKisara
7 жыл бұрын
Agreed, during a combat situation the team with a woman will be at a major disadvantage simply for the fact that all the men will unconsciously keep an eye on her. She will also be a liability physically-vise because women, even if they train hard, will always be weaker than men facing the same training (she could train a lot more to catch up, but then there's the risk she's gonna be more tired) and obviously getting her period in the middle of a fight can be a big problem too (be it her psychic abilities, need to change it down there every so often, or simple health risks involved). In case of a capture it's obvious what would happen to her (not like it didn't happen to men, but in far smaller numbers, with a woman it's pretty much a given it will happen and it's one of the reasons they were never allowed to wage war and why prostitutes earned good money wherever the military was stationed). Long story short, I'm all for women joining the military, but do the important jobs in the back (look at queen Elisabeth II.!) and leave the men on the frontlines, it'll be safer for both parties

The problem isn't that they're willing to serve in a combat MOS with men. It's that in order to pass training the physical standards have to be lowered. What you end up with is member of your unit that is a weak link and that puts the entire unit in added danger unnecessarily. Here we have a female Marine who is clearly a realist stating the same thing. She knows if she goes toe to toe with a male Marine in combat she falls short of the physical demands required.

For fucks sake, you don't try out combat. Are you fucking kidding me with that? Here girls, try out killing someone. See if you like it. You either can fucking do it, or you can't. There is so much more that goes into it than pulling a damn trigger. This marine should be applauded. It broke my heart to hear her say that combat made her infertile. These feminists need to listen to her. This isn't a game, it's not something you try out. You women who want this better understand that if you go into combat, you better be able to do exactly what your male counterparts can do. They are trusting you to be up to the task. If you're not, you have just betrayed your brother in arms. If you can't pass the male standards, you are not up to the task.

I spent 23 years on urban fire dept and have worked with women both as a medic and fire fighter. They try not to put two females on same medic unit because to often they need to call for a lift assist which now puts another fire engine or medic out of service. And the top 10% of female fire fighters perform at a level worse then the worst 10% of the male firefighters consistently for all 23 years I was there. It just go's to show how much less qualified the other 90% of the women are. I also spent 6 years as an infantryman in the Army and the biggest concern if females fought in combat is if a sargeant has to order someone to charge a machine gun nest, and its between a man or women because no one else is available, does he order the man to do it because we are subconsciously protective of women or he orders the man to do it because he has a better chance of completing the task. Either way its not fair to the man.

Last time I checked, getting a contract for USMC infantry had a waiting list. Which was usually a 2nd contract thing. People think getting into infantry is easy lol. Na. Like 10% or less of the entire USMC is actual ground infantry. when I was in we had less then 10k active infantry combined, that's 03-11-31-41-51. Lotta shade gets thrown towards infantry because deep down, most Marines wanted it. There was no need to open it up to women. The line of men drooling over an 03 contract could stretch across camp Pendleton

It would be very practical to invade Canada or Mexico or a perhaps some of these Islands Nations.....but they don't: why is that? It's because the military has become completely subservient to the interests of the globalist bankers who are very practical in making sure the military does their dirty work for them; opening up markets which they want. So, yeah, if you are a bank or Warren Buffett, the American Military is super-practical, but otherwise not-so-much.

I’m getting tired of hearing about female Marines being equal physically they are not. If the Marine Corps believe that than the scores for PFTs and CFT’s should be equal for both men and women. Depending on your age guys have to do 20 dead hang pull-ups or more females if I remember only need to do 12 to get a score of 100 depending on age. So why do we have a men’s and female’s score it should be just a Marine Corps score not caring about your gender. Yes females mentally can do the job but when it comes to physical fitness or even MCMAP training there is a difference.
