Welcome to Create Joy Travel's She Solos series.
As part of Create Joy’s She Solos series, we are going to talk about the inspiring and enthralling aspects of individual travel, as well as get real about things like personal blocks and barriers and goal-setting when you take on something new and perhaps out of your comfort zone. We are joined this afternoon by…
Rebecca Mahoney is a writer and digital marketer who has traveled solo to more than 30 countries. Her travel philosophy encourages women to set their fears and self-consciousness aside and safely explore the world on their own terms. A former journalist, her writing has appeared in The Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, the Miami Herald, and the Associated Press, as well as numerous magazines and business publications. She’s writing a book about the kindness and generosity she’s experienced from strangers while solo traveling through five continents. Connect with her on LinkedIn or Instagram at @RebeccaTravelsEverywhere.
Molly De Lallo works in the nonprofit sector as a trail builder and stewardship coordinator in Eagle, Colorado. Before she got into trail building, she worked as a Spanish and Social Studies teacher at private schools. She is a graduate of the University
of Vermont with a degree in political science and sociology.
She is also an ultra runner who spends most of her free time trail running around in the Rockies and biking the slickrock trails of Moab, Utah. Many of her adventures traveling blend her love for the great outdoors with physical, goal-oriented activities. Between snowboarding, skiing, biking, and running, Molly is no stranger to the thrill and excitement of all that her current home has to offer but continues to hold her gratitude for the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire, which provided a catalyst for a love of the outdoors and need to be footloose.
And Heather Morse, our remarkable founder here at Create Joy, is why we are all here today sharing stories and engaging in conversation. Heather’s background includes:
Not only travel experience but a background in hospitality, sustainable tourism, and wellness and behavioral change.
Our moderator is Sarah Caouette, Create Joy’s resident writer and editor, who is excited to be a part of this round table discussion because she believes that sharing stories is how we build community, uplift, inspire, and learn from each other.
