How would you describe the weight and the sound unplugged?
@guitarbluz62
Жыл бұрын
@@maxherron1376 mine weighs in at a mere 4.1lbs. Its a bit neck heavy but very manageable. Unplugged sound is pretty surprising given the narrow depth. Perfect for couch picking when you don't want to wake up the rest of the house.

Nice review, discussion, and sound demo. Very versatile. Would be fun with the looper, layering different sound layers. Call me greedy, but for $2,000, I would want to see several other features. Namely, I would like to see a stereo out to be able to split the Blended signal to both an acoustic and electric amp. I would also like to see a low impedance output option, too.

Can the Acoustisonic withstand the tension that a 12 string would present?
@UltimateForceMarketing

Best results is to use a nice compression, clean warm digital Bright Hall Reverb and make absolutely sure to connect your last guitar component in the tail end of the daisy chain is to use a BBE Stereo (left) & (right) outputs into a True Stereo amp setups. This will bring out the brilliance & punch of these new Fender Acoustisonic Guitars.

I like your idea of having one guitar for both electric/acoustic gigs. I am assuming you are running direct. I am curious on running it through a amp. Would it have to be a acoustic amp? Or could I get great results running through my Katana 100?
@sweetwater
4 жыл бұрын
Hi, David. These can be run through either type of amp. Many folks will run this into an A/B switch so that they can use an electric amp (like the Katana) when they're using that pickup, and then go through an acoustic setup when using the acoustic sounds. I run both acoustic and electric sounds through my katana mk2 100 1x12. Just use the GAFC foot controller to switch between a clean acoustic preset(s) and electric preset(s). As mentioned, you can use an A/B switch if you want your acoustic sounds to go direct to a PA input. Very happy with my Strat Acoustasonic. The only thing I think Fender/Fishman missed is they only modeled bridge pup tones, which can be quite trebley/edgey, which is perfect for some things, but not when you need some warmth, i.e., neck pup tones....which imo probably could've been accomplished with the Fishman modeling technology. Hoping for possible firmware updates for new tones, but not very optimistic.

Is it more stable with temperature setting than a full size acoustic guitar? Was wondering with the smaller tighter construction if it would behave in humidity changes more like a solid body electric? I take lessons and sometimes have to leave my electric in the car longer times than I like. THX

The stock 11-52's are great for the acoustic playing, but brutal for electric playing....constant full step bends are difficult with the 25.5 scale. I ultimately went with Eartwood Everlast phos/bronze coated strings in 10-50 gauge and I 3 them to be the best balance for both acoustic and electric playing.

fender sold thousands of the teles.. to the point where they physically had to make more because they didn't make enough for what they projected to sell, so pretty sure they hit the mark and surpassed it and will likely do the same with these

Can’t make hardly anything with AMERICAN labor for low dollar. We want people to have a good wage. Proprietary electronics from Fishman also holds the price up. If we want to have cheap all the time then it means taking advantage of terrible living wages from people in other countries. I’m saving for one. Great versatility for what I like to play.

It is priced in line with its nearest competitor the Taylor T5. The T5 has been in production for 15 years. Like Fender, Taylor also has a factory in Mexico, but all T5s are US made just like these American Acoustasonic Fenders. They ARE worth the price just like the Taylor T5. Apparently, Fender sold a lot more of the Tele model last year than what they had originally planned to build so I doubt they will make a lower priced version anytime soon(if at all).
