I wish more people would listen to Marty Stuart & The Superlatives. Their music is pure gold & straight from the heart.

Marty and his band are INCREDIBLE musicians & performers. Both Marty and guitarist Kenny Vaughn are MONSTER players ! Marty is also a SUPERB mandolin player as well. Catch their live shows once the pandemic is over....they are great performers and you'll hear & see a terrific concert.

I was determined to see Marty and the Superlatives this year if I possibly could. And I did ~~ Oct 17, 2021 @ Bethel Woods, NY~~ truly wonderful performance. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get there and I absolutely loved hearing and watching these guys make music! Covid’s not over, but following the requirements Marty wanted (also NY State wanted), we were a safe and greatful audience!

Watching Marty and Kenny play off of each other is just so fluid and natural you can't help but smile. True musical alchemy and magic wielded by two of the most gifted guitar sorcerers.

I would kill for Marty's sound. Just his amp settings. I love that twang he gets. My favorite sound. Could listen to that sound forever.

First Fender guitar player I ever heard (and saw pictures of) was Buddy Holly, so I became a Stratocaster player. Still am, after 60 years. I started out on my brother's 1960 Pro. But my first amp was a new 1964 Super Reverb. Those Princetons are great amps!

"Pedals? We don't need no stinken PEDALS!" Kenny Vaughan told a story about playing a David Letterman show and all they had was the guitars and amps. The house band asked where are your pedals? It's all tone and touch.

Marty and his bunch are as good as it gets......and i love the way he respects all the older country pickers and singers and song writers.......his shows are like little package shows....reminds me of the package country shows of the 60's and 70's....very cool

Don't know about Martys rig, but saw Kenny Vaughns last year, a Princeton Reverb with Eminence Red Coat Red Fang speaker. So I bought the speaker and replaced the stock Marshall Celestion in a Marshall DSL2000 401 combo amp. Both clean and overdrive sound much better. smoother, brighter. Some day I will get myself a Princeton Reverb.

Marty would you recommend a Princeton amp for the Luther Perkins sound? I loved Luther too and am building a Esquire and a standard tele too but want to buy a amp for his sound. THANKS MARTY Love your sound too!
