I have to be honest. I absolutely loved the 308-328 and had posters on my wall. UNTIL I saw video of the 288 GTO and my jaw dropped! The vidoe also informed that 272 were built. Love your chanel.

I've had my 1978 308GTS for almost 20 years now. It's a blast to drive, and quite easy to maintain.

The 308 had the most classic Ferrari look of their mid engine cars. There was an aftermarket twin turbo kit that was made available for the 308 in 1984 and those cars are extremely rare now. It gave the 308 performance that was very close to the GTO.

You are an incredible presenter - confident, natural delivery. Your lengthy, technically complex monologues are so well-structured - it would be amazing to hear you’re not using teleprompters (which I suspect you’re not - especially when driving and presenting!!). KTLA here’s your new anchor!

I'm sure you meant to say it was launched in 1977, not '97. Useful update on the original pathetic Cibie lights. Not sure the wheels do it any favours but at least they allow you a decent tyre choice. But only the width of the wheels changes the area of the contact patch, and you don't want to make them much wider or the steering becomes just too heavy for normal use. Wheel diameter doesn't affect the contact patch as the rolling radius has to remain the same; larger wheels just means smaller side walls. Totally agree about the sound of the carb 308s!

These are amazing cars! Had mine for over 20 years also! It starts right up after a winter hibernation and has been relatively trouble free. They are quite simple to work on. Better access than most modern day cars. No need to pull the engine out for timing belts. While in there, use Hill Engineering tensioners. The factory units are the weak link. These cars are so much smaller than the modern day Ferrari's, and details such as door handles and hidden fuel fill are missing on the modern F cars. I'm surprised how everyone goes gaga over 911's, but I find the 308 more exotic, more stylish, more of a true sports car, and a better value. Not that it's about the money, but I'm really surprised that these cars are at a price point that they are at.

I had a 1985 GTSI if my memory serves me correct and loved it, although it was not as fast as my buddy's 1983 930 turbo it still turned heads everywhere I went.

Love the 308 GTS and GTB, but their Pininfarina shape is feminine and curvaceous, not a wedge. The presenter is confusing this 308 GTS with Bertone’s chiseled 308 GT4, which has often been described as a wedge (along with Gandini’s other angular masterpieces, the Stratos, Urraco, Countach…)

I absolutely love the 308 and 328 models! Yesterday I had the pleasure of driving an 1989 328 GTS which i posted a full review on my channel. These cars are so rewarding to drive and in my opinion a much better driving experience than a G Body 911 and they ride so much better as well.

I owned a 1979 Ferrari 308gt4 Series II, #15234, purchased in 1984 w/ 7k mi. & Sold in 2010 w/ 42k mi. Paint was Rosso Chiaro w/ light Tan Connolly Leather Interior. The gt4 Series II came w/ improved AC, Glove Box & Sunroof. The Bertone designed mid engine 2+2 actually provided a better Driver Position without the long bonette, like the 308 gtb & gts. If you are looking to buy a 308 do yourself a favor and drive both, and then decide for yourself!
