You'd be surprised. I have owned a few ferrets in my time. One of the male ferrets was extremely outgoing and he tried to play with everything and everyone he could. Every dog he saw he would run at, and the dogs would run away in fear. He was only trying to play.

Buy a Ferret when you get to England, they are so much cheaper there. I really miss mine, had to leave him behind when I moved to the States. A typical price for a Ferret in England is 15 pounds (about $30) you usually find them in the classified columns in the newspapers, very rarely do you see them in a pet store.

They make GREAT pets...a lot of work though...but the rewards are incredible....they love to play with you and themselves. They are a social animal so if you're thinking of getting one...you should consider getting at least 2. That way they can entertain themselves when you aren't around. Can't say whether more like a dog or cat. They have their own personalities.....

How did you train him? What kind of treats did you use? How old was he when you started? And have you made any videos showing how to do it? This is so cool! Sorry for so many questions, but I'm really interested in teaching my ferrets tricks, too. It seems like a good way to spend time with them and bond with them. I've trained dogs and taught them tricks, but never a ferret.

I know at my local animal rescue league they go for $75.00 for both. I went to look at just one and I ended up adopted both sisters. Their bond is too strong to be separated. I've learned if you're gonna be away from your ferret awhile like at work or school having two ferrets is best so they won't get lonely and they have each other to entertain themselves. I hope this info has help you if you need more feel free to ask

That and play is pretty much what ferrets do lol, ferrets sleep about 16 hours a day, and the average ferret goes to the bathroom about once every half hour. The most I could train mine to do was come when I rattled their treat can. As long as you have a way to get them to come to you when they're lost you don't really need training.

thats a good thing, they truely are happier with a playmate, I mean us humans are fun but we dont have as much energy as them, they are either playing or sleeping , eating in between haha. Most people I know here (in the u.s.) have more then one tho, its called ferret math, you get one then think they need a friend, and so on lol or else you start rescuing all the unwanted or abused ferrets.

ferrets are used to playing really rough with eachother and they bite really hard, so unless you get a really docile ferret it'll probably bite you sometimes. also ferrets are like 200 bucks and they're supposed to kept in a cage most of the time and they need a litter box and they get lonely easily so good luck
