More of a heart-shaped cherries, aren’t they? Do you see a decline of bees or other pollinators as a result of climate change, and/or use of pesticides? My Rainier cherry never gets to the fruiting stage after flowering. I think the Rainier is too early in the season for the bees. Do you see the same issues?

Ferrovia is the original heart shped cherry...we have many beekeepers here and bees are to many..no problems for the bees because everyone spray the right time of day...i dont believe we have climate change..i believe we have climate shifts ..this happens all the time and many years we will have problems but many years we will be better...i do not have rainier...if this variety blossom to early and climate is cold no bee will fly..i dont have this problem

I have this problem with 3 sour cherry and one sweet cherry varieties. I tried everything, but nothing works, because their flowering is to early, the bees don t fly and if you catch a few days of rainy weather ,it s a complete disaster. Have someone graft other varieties on those roots. I did, and the grafts grow very very fast ,in 3 years time, you will have an almost full size tree.
