This is not a replacement for the CXS which is an installation drill (and still considerably lighter).

Best sander I own is a festool rotex 150, that with their dust extractor, can't be beat. I've seen others buy similar sanders and they either break down or don't cover half the area I can in the same time period

I have this as well as the quad drive and the big problem with them is the dial at the bottom back of the handle is constantly being spun around by my wrist where I have to put duct tape over it to keep the setting in place. Poor design.

Bosch is far better than festool, because its available in India and worth the price

Why not 12V ? Like at Bosch GSR12 35 FC ?

Festool already has the CXS and TXS 10.8 that fits perfectly into this category and speaking from experience its PERFECT I couldn't recommend it higher truely. do yourself a favour and just get one if you're considering a 12v drill you won't regret it.

They do a 10.8 volt but it's gutless. This will probably be great.

i have used the csx for years and installed thousands and thousands of cabinets with it. For finish carpentry it is great, for lags use a heavier drill.

If you’re running a business all these tools are tax deductible anyway, the quality of these tools isn’t in question. For a DIYer etc it’s kinda stupid to own these tools unless you have money to burn and you’re bored. Do you need these tools? Not really but they are fantastic. I owned a top of the line Makita vacuum and returned it after the first use, was a piece of junk. Got a CTM 36AC and the thing feels like a luxury vacuum 😂

Hasn't this already been a thing for a while? What's the difference between this and the C18?

It’s smaller

T18 has 35 Nm soft torque in speed 1, C18 27 Nm soft, both stupid heavy even with the lightest 3Ah pack and the chuck, and is OK only without the chuck and only with 3Ah. The new TXS18/CXS18 both reach 22 Nm soft torque and are lighter and more compact.

@@loochan325 stupid heavy compared to which drill ? I’ve had a T18 for years and people always comment how small and nice to use it is

@@SingleTrack66 People don't need to compare when they hold 1,8 Kg in their hand. T18 has 1,5 Kg only without the chuck and only with the lightest 3Ah pack. 4Ah - so coled compact, with 21700 cells get it to 2Kg...and that is like top of the line Milwaukee if yow realy need to compare. Sure Milfucky is flimsy, but still...Sure 18-22V Hilti are also wey to heavy ( only 10.8V-12max Hilti SF 2-A12 brushless is OK). The Festool 13mm chuck for T18 weighs 279 g. The 10mm one for CXS/TXS bot for 10.8V and for the newer 18V weighs 189g. The one with metal shroud for DRC weighs 309g or so. And sure is not easy to find a decent 35-36 Nm soft torque drill driver that weighs 1,5Kg with chuck and a decent pack, even more so when a 2 Ah compact pack is not realy enough for 35-36 Nm soft torque that is in speed 1 and today drills have high RPM even in speed 1, like 610-650 RPM, so draw a lot of amps, and the electronic driver brushless or not need ~ 20% more on top of the motor, wey more then 20-23A that a 2Ah compact pack is capable without huge voltage drop and also without being abused and worn out, so even for a moderate 36Nm they need 4Ah high drain with one row of good 21700 cells. I have some weird examples: Makita DDF 456, 36Nm soft @ 450 RPM, with brushess !!!, has a 300W motor so ~ 360W with electronic driver, so 20A, and weighs 1,53 Kg with the 2Ah pack. On the other hand, Makita DDF 480 brushless, also 36 Nm soft @ same 450 RPM in speed 1 has a 360W motor, so ~ 432 with electronic driver, so needs 24A and with the 5Ah pack weighs 1.8 Kg that is wey to heavy for normal use. Today even for 27-28 Nm soft is hard to find a good 1,5Kg drill driver because the trend is high RPM in speed 1 and we need bigger packs. There is DeWalt DCD 791 and DCD 800. DCD 791 27Nm weighs 1,5Kg @ 2Ah but the pack is abused, and DCD 800 28Nm with 650RPM needs the 1.7Ah power stack but 1.7Ah looks stupid today and DeWalt needs to make a 2.5Ah power stack for 18V like it also needs to make a 4Ah with 3 x 21700 cells for 10.8V so coled 12max. Bosch GSR 18V-55 brushless also 28 Nm soft but @ 460 RPM is closer, weighs a little more then 1,5Kg with 4Ah pro core. Bosch claims 1Kg body only and 515 g for the pack but the pack weighs 535g realy and the tool also more...You can use 2Ah and 3Ah compact for moderate use and with that is realy OK weight wise, but the tool is not realy heavy duty despite the Bosch claim on the tool...GSR 18V-50 has a crapy chuck but otherwise is the same tool like GSR 18V-55. GSR 18V-60C 30Nm look more compact but feel and is wey to heavy.
