The only thing I can say about the 27mm tho.. If I use it as a "shop vac" and I put a extension on it, I find a lot of things get clogged up going into that 27mm click lock haha. I've been shocked using a dewalt 20v cordless sander with the CT26 using anti-static hose running off 100 feet of 12 gauge extension cord (ungrounded) on the GFCI. So I have no idea its its because the cord wasn't grounded, but I since it was gfci I wasn't too worried.

@@toolcurve Its not the filter that gets clogged... Larger debris will get stuck across the mouth of the 27mm connector and I'll have to remove the wand to snap a twig or whatever is bridging across the 27mm connector opening. The other thing I noticed is that lots of debris build up around the connections of the accessories and so when you take them off of your hose you'll have sand and drywall dust or whatnot spill out (Always remove accessories with vacuum running or you may be exposed to hazardous dust etc). The last thing is that you actually have to wash the hose from time to time because the cloth sleeve will absorb dust/grime etc.. I wash mine after every job that may contain hazardous materials just in case, but yea I'm not sure how I feel about the cloth sleeve.

i've felt static electricity for the first time using a CT 36 AC connected to a dewalt cordless palm sander via a centec hose. it wasn't a shock, but you can feel it like little needles on your arm.

I'm glad companies like yours exist that make quality products. My biggest complaint about all manufacturers... both tools, vacuum/extractors, hoses... they each have their own "standard" as far as size and connector design. Having to buy adapters for every combo should drive them all to work on a real standard and help us end-users, one would think. You buy expensive tools and extractors and can't hook them up without spending even more money on adapters that many times are cheap junk and do not work well.

That's the nice thing about standards. Everybody has one.

I just bought a festool vac but I use makita tools, guess which tools hook up to the 27mm hose? None. I got rid of the festool hose and got the 36mm nilfisk hose with quick change end. Swap between 2 different ends in 1 second and will hook up to every tool. Not to mention all this cost less than a new festool hose on its own and I also get better airflow, dust extraction and vacuuming the floor as the festool floor wand is a stupid restrictive design.

I have been shocked by my Ridgid shop vac during winter, very dry times, but it was more irritating that the hose would collect dust and make a mess, I got the CT26 about 6 years ago and love it, I put blue tooth on it and up graded green hose I also have 5 festool sanders, they work together so well.

Yes it is not fun to get shocked. I purchased the Surfprep Electric Sander and it does not come with anti-static hose, and I got shocked ALL THE TIME with that hose, but when I run the Festool hose, no problem. It is worth every penny. Wow I can't believe the link for all the adapters you posted, I have so many of those tools that I could never get good dust collection with my Festool vac until now, I will be ordering several of those adapters this week, including the hose clips, thank you!

The static is not just for the electric shock when it comes to dust collection but rather the static does not cause the micro dust to be attached to the hose itself as with regular hose.
@RFC-3514

Also, some types of dust can be ignited by static sparks, and the anti-static hose minimises that (though if you work with that kind of material you really want a grounded hose, not just an anti-static one).

I just bought the Festool CT 36 E AC along with the Planex LHS 2 225 EQI-Plus, DTS 400 REQ-plus sander and the RTS 400 REQ orbital sander. I have just learned more information abut the hose and conections that come stock with my dust extractor i belive it is the D36 hose, solid black. from my understanding, the hose that comes stock is specifically designed for the Planex LHS 2 225 EQI-Plus drywall sander. does this mean I need to buy a different hose for the RTS and DTS sanders? is there a different end attachment I need to hook-up to the stock hose? would you recommend to the adapter or a new hose

Please make an updated video. I recently purchased a ct15E. The description noted that it comes with a new anti-static hose. When I received it I was disappointed. I started to do some research and have found out it is anti-static. It does not have the braided sleeve. I’ve noticed it has caused a lot of confusion among the community, according to some peoples posts in different forums.

I have your 27mm power cord clips (realistically I have to use twice as many). Do you make 36mm? 50mm? 2-1/2"? 50mm hoses are intended to be used as extensions. They aren't long enough (and quite expensive) so I also use 2-1/2" hose for my overhead dust collection setup. I have to tape the power cords to the hoses, which is ugly and gets stick-ums all over the hoses.
