If you run out of copper brackets, cut the scraps of tubing and flatten them with a hammer. You still use copper nails or screws.

@@wadopotato33I used to make concentric circles when laying out the centers for core holes in concrete (Construction layout). I didn't always know what size they were going to come back to core them at so I would usually mark 2", 3", 4", 6". If not marked correctly, the concrete cutters would charge additional to do it themselves. I'm sure there are other reasons that might need such a thing.

My favorite was how he had a hard time keeping the drill steady, so he used the same drill with a bigger bit to make a guide to help keep the drill steady, even though he would've needed a guide to keep the drill steady to make the guide.

You missed the point that he couldnt make a bigger hole on top of the preexisting one because the center bit had no wood to steady it out. When you make a hole in an untouched piece, the center bit can do its work; and thus he can make a guide. Which he can then use to drill over the existing hole.

I have used a hole saw about 30+ times. Once on a new door. And anti vacuum holes on large rubbermaid trash cans. Never with a screw in the middle, so I applaud his ingenuity to make the guide piece.

If you use clamps on copper, be sure you're not using metal that can cause corrosion on the pipe. We typically opt for plastic or copper clamps.

На самом деле задумка хорошая, но не правильное исполнение, работаю электриком, часто есть проблема когда надо высверлить отверстие под софит в гипсокартоне, а там где должно сверло центрирующее заходить дырка из которой кабель торчит, в итоге чтоб не испортить потолок вокруг отверстия беру вырезанный кружок, то есть внутреннюю часть, а не внешнюю как на видео, креплю на пару саморезов и получается идеальное отверстие точно там где оно должно быть.

@@Avengedsevenfoldrocks the only reason why the hole saw wobbled at all was because there is a screw at the center the hole-saw's central drill bit is hitting, preventing the saw teeth from digging into the wood. 😮 Remove the screw and I guarantee the worthless guide won't even need to be made nor used.

@@gothicbagheera No, the drill guide at the center of the hole saw is what keeps the saw edge from wandering. Have you ever used a hole saw or encountered this situation? I ran into this exact problem when I needed to widen a hole in a century-old solid wood exterior door to install a modern deadbolt. It is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that you'll be able to drill a clean new hole without something to hold the saw in place as you make the initial plunge.

@@marybethsmith-hynes2749 i personally never tested well Never understood anything that wasn’t related to life somehow In other words I was terrible with geometry in school Once it was related to day to day tasks I was a wiz at it I had to test to enter trade school It’s been almost 30 years since I took my entry exam so it’s a bit vague and kids don’t test any more since our vocational system went into public school control so I don’t hear about the tests either I remember the questions being very common sense oriented rather than your standardized tests Feel like the focus was on wether you were mature enough to not get killed by machinery rather than smart enough to work with your hands But I see what you’re saying
