Hi Ronnie, great topic today. Could not agree more with you about your dog. I have less than 6 months until I retire. Can't wait. Enjoy your channel.

Agreed. I'm an introvert and get my energy from solitude. Large groups and social get togethers wear me out. Can't wait to retire so I can avoid the work related "mandatory" team gatherings 😊.

Hi Ronnie, I’ve been retired now two years and absolutely love it! I have a similar type of life now as yours. I enjoy my time and especially love not being the corporate world with all the drama. My time now is spent relaxing, reading, Pilates and enjoy cooking. I have two cats and they are my family for sure. My social interactions now are mostly my Pilates classes three times a week and I get together with a couple of close friends for lunch or movie occasionally. It’s so great to spend my time now exactly as I want. This is how i pictured my retirement and now I’m living it!! Thanks for the great content 🌻

Indeed, retirement comes with several luxuries and fringe benefits if one arrives prepared. It entails having the ability to create an optimally satisfying environment on a daily basis. Solitude is definitely one of those luxuries high on that list if you desire to have establish routine(s) free of unwarranted interference from “friends, neighbors, or associates”. It can definitely be accurately viewed as a fringe benefit of retirement. However, it doesn't mean becoming a hermit especially while residing in a rural or acreage situated environment.

Great video! I totally agree with you on the pet topic! 🐶 I'm not retired yet but it's just me and my dog and I'm quite content. I get social activities on my terms and imagine my retirement being spent very similar to yours.

Totally agree. My retirement time is for me and my spouse. Leaving for a two-week solo hiking trip in England in a few weeks.

I don't comment often but I just wanted to say I've been loving your video entries here. I'm 21, and with my parents out of the picture, it's your entries that give me a glimpse into what this chapter of life is like. You do an amazing job with your videos. Keep up the great work!

Do you have a video about your pre retirement life? Like the type of job you had, what State you worked in, background information for context. I am enjoying your channel

No videos on my pre retirement life. But I'll answer your questions here: I was a teacher & counselor, I live in Florida, and about five years before I retired I was able scale-back my hours because I was experiencing burnout. Thanks for commenting.
