Cool new bike but the battery size size is too small at 635 Wh. My 2020 Specialized Turbo Levo comp I got back in September 2019 has a 700 Wh. I can do 40 mile rides no problem with that battery. Specialized rolled out their gen 2 Levo back in late 2018 as a 2019 model with that 700 Wh battery. Shimano powered e-bikes need at least a 720Wh to stay relevant today.

I’m 6’4’’ and pushing 280lbs. 7k’ days over 35 miles are common for me on this bike. The balance of motor tune and bike geo for efficient pedaling make the difference on the range. 4.5 hour ride days are coming for me on this one.

@@tylercloward1677 question about the weight: if your comparing a Timp Peak with a Transition Relay same size, where is the difference in weight coming from? A top spec Relay in XL is coming in at @45-46lbs and the Timp Peak XL is @50lbs so where is the weight difference coming from? Battery (is only 430Wh on the relay) or the frame. I ask because with the amazing and light components on the Timp peak, I’m surprised it’s not @46lbs also.
@tylercloward1677
Жыл бұрын
@@boulderghost4457 the Relay is a cool bike. Most of the weight difference is in the motor and battery. The Fazua ride 60 motor only puts out 55Nm or torque where the Shimano battery puts out 85Nm. With that there’s a 700g weight difference. The lower Wh battery vs the 635wh battery is about a 2lbs difference. It’s just capacity. Then there are component differences, depending on which build you are looking at. Most of the Relays use a 36 platform on the fork vs the larger 38 on the Timp Peak. The Timp Peak also has heavier duty E-specific wheels to handle the extra watts the motor can put into the system. Both are great bikes but they are in different classes because of the motor output and battery capacity and that’s where the weight difference is coming from. I’d imagine you’ll see Fezzari release an ebike with this lighter weight and battery sometime in the near future, and for it to have the spec to match it (36 fork platform, lighter mtb wheels, etc).

Another great video! Great break down of the bike. Would love to know how it compares on the noise level compared to other bikes you have tested. Also it would be sick to see a test with the Comp build and DVO. I really like that Fezzari is building a company and bikes around riders and not around SRAM and Fox. More companies should go that route. In that spirit, with their 23 point customizations, I believe it would be great to see a review of the bike on the DVO suspension package and maybe how it compares to the SRAM build. I live to give my money to those you challenge the status quo. There are too many excellent bikes out there. Companies like Fezzari on the other hand are rare breeds...

Not saying you are wrong/ it's always nice when there's a M/L option and I'm sure I would be fine with a bit less reach but if you try it you might be surprised ( or maybe you have and you hate it?). Anyhow, I'm sure it's a cost benefit decision and they are still a relatively small company. Whey they start selling as many bikes as Trek then they can add more in-between sizes.

Great video. I'm a dirt biker looking to get into electric mountain biking. I've been considering the Fezzari Wild Peak and the Timp Peak. I'm in my 50's and new to mountain biking, so I'm not exactly going to be ripping up the trail or jumping a lot on it. I want something that will be a fun, all-around mountain bike that I can grow into. The 504 Wh battery on the Wire Peak is kind of a turn-off for me. Other than that, which of the two bikes would you recommend? The new Tim Peak looks like it was made to be the new flagship eMTB for Fezzari.

No size specific chainstays is a major turn off
@tylerbishop6581
Жыл бұрын
Just one thought. One benefit of a size specific chain stays is weight balance between the front and rear wheel. With the weight of the battery already being forward of the BB, there will already be additional weight (and thus traction) on the front wheel, so for larger riders, it may not be necessary to have size specific chain stays (i.e. longer chain stay for larger sizes is what some brands are doing) to maintain an even weight balance when compared to an analog bike due to the battery weight. Also, what e-bikes are you seeing with the adjustable chain stay length per size? The Trek Rail, Specialized Levo, Yeti E160, Norco VLT, and Santa Cruz Bullit all use the same chainstay length on all sizes based on my research.

Thanks for watching Slim. These videos are made with the brand's who are releasing new tech or product. Since we only rode the bike two times, we wouldn't feel right "reviewing" the bike or endorsing it in any way as we just haven't been able to thoroughly test it on various terrain or see how the durability stacks up. These videos are our way of sharing the latest products or news with a bit of our own voice, so the Dissecting of the product is intended to be looking at the technology, features, construction and development of it. Not a dissection of the performance, for the reasons stated above. Hope that helps clarify? We do have a long term loan en-route and it will be thoroughly tested and passed around for a long term review, which will exclusively be our first hand experience. Thanks Drew
