Kevin sounds like a whole orchestra! His music is so full with energy while he looks like he barely moves his fingers and bow, I am so in awe!

That's true, he is kind of a master at this effect. I think it's partially to do with the bass notes being hit at regular intervals, it kind of forces the listener to fill in the "beat" even when those bass notes aren't being hit every beat. And really I'm taking this idea from how pianists describe "bass note movements" or chord movements in general, so i may be wrong, just my thoughts.

I have seen Kevin 3 times....Patrick Street. Andy Irvine's chair broke under him put him on floor, Kevin couldn't play because he was laughing so hard. Hazzah Kevin.

The humour alone is enough, but then the tunes. This man inspired me in my ITM beginnings back in the 90's. Hup, Kevein Burke!

One of my very favorites. I was introduced to Kevin’s music through this tune. I believe it was on Arlo Guthrie’s album ‘Hobo’s Lullaby’. Beautiful ✨

Who knows though, I could be wrong on that. Either way, it’s still beautiful.

It was ‘Last of the Brooklyn Cowboys’ album, and the tune was Sailor’s Bonnet.
