Today. I've prepared fig tart recipe🙆
You cannot have fig once the season passes so you shouldn't miss it🙆
I've tried fig for the first time about 2 to 3 years ago and I loved it! 🙆
I kind of like sweet and soft fruit that has no tangy flavor so fig is perfect for me 🙆
I hurried to get some before the season changes and made a tart as well🙆
I was gonna decorate the tart with teddy bear cookies but I was distracted for a bit and they got burnt in the oven...
I used 18cm tart pan. You can cut figs however you like. Little tip, it's much cleaner if you cut the tart first and then put the figs on top.
▶ingredient
+tart
60g unsalted butter, 1 egg yolk, 30g powdered sugar, 120g cake flour
+almond cream
60g unsalted butter, 1 egg, 2ml vanilla extract, 50g sugar, 60g almond powder
+cheese cream
120ml whipping cream, 15g sugar, 100g cream cheese
+the rest
3~4 figs
1) Cream unsalted, room temperature butter
2) Add in eff yolk and sugar powder separately and mix
3) sift cake flour and combine with a spetula
4) when combined, wrap the dough and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes
5) Soften the cold and firm dough with your hands a bit, sprinkle some flour on top and roll it out
6) Place it over the prepared tart pan and dock it with a fork
7) Wrap it and put it in the fridge while making almond cream
8) Preheat the oven to 180°C and cream the unsalted butter
9) Add in eggs, sugar and vanilla separately
10) Add in almond powder
11) Pour in the mixture into the tart and bake in the 180 °C oven for 20 to 25 minutes (the video footage shows 25 minutes after)
12) Let it cool in room temperature
13) While cooling, make cheese cream. Mix heavy cream and sugar together in a bowl
14) Add in cream cheese and continue to mix
15) Whip the cream until stiff
16) Pour the cream onto the tart however you like
17) Cut the figs
18) Put the figs onto the tart
+you can store the tart for 2 to 3 days🙆
