Colonel Littman's Black Cross (CLBC) is a Black Madeira type variety that many growers report as having an excellent taste. I moved my CLBC tree into my grow room about a week and a half prior to taking this video and unfortunately I let the tree get a little too dry and it lost its leaves just prior to ripening most of my CLBC figs. As a result, many of my CLBC figs were ruined this year, but I'll try to apply the lessons learned from that mistake to improve my process moving forward.
Despite my personal experience this year, CLBC is known to produce great tasting figs, and should have the same advantages and disadvantages that other Black Madeira type varieties have, as I explained in my video on Madeira Island Black earlier this season.
