There's an argument to be had that 1999 was one of the best ever years for movies ... Fight Club and The Matrix made a huge impact on the history of cinema, and then you also had the likes of American Beauty, The Green Mile, Eyes Wide Shut, Toy Story 2 and The Sixth Sense. It wasn't all great though ... with The Phantom Menace disappointing many, and Arnie's action career coming to a grinding halt with End Of Days ... I loved The Blair Witch Project and Sleepy Hollow ... and there were guilty pleasures like Deep Blue Sea, Lake Placid and The 13th Warrior. I don't think I've ever been to the cinema more than I did in 1999 ... I was there every week watching something new. A fitting end to the century that gave birth to movie making as we know it.

1999 was great in general. We were about to go into civil war and free ourselves from slavery, and would have too if 9/11 hadn't happened and created a false sense of unity for a short while.

I think fight club deserves a couple of tracks. I'd like Paper Street where they drink beer. Abandoned houses. Empty street at night.

I really like your choice of motif in this soundscape - the original soundtrack to this by the dust brothers is something I listened to repeatedly, it really is sonically unique. I should replay it. There really is a lot to remix in there.

“In the world I see you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway.” ― Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club

Subbed. Every one of these is just fantastic. The simple fact you made one for Trancers tells me you have great taste. Considering your wonderful John Carpenter ambiences, I'm hopeful you have plans for They Live, The Thing, and Prince of Darkness. Romero's original Dead trilogy would make some wonderful Halloween ambiences, especially the original "Night"- I can play that soundtrack every Halloween just as creepy background noise.
