+AssaultRiffle37 Also has to do with the fact that the cartels aren't really asking for favors when they give cops money. Cops in Mexico get paid shit, they either take the money or someone takes their family. Televisa and the government work hand in hand to dumb down the people. They censor anything regarding cartels and corruptions. The corruption is prominent from every part of life, and other countries are not exempt, in Central America the situation is probably worse.

I work in a company with a large majority of Mexican nationals and they are the hardest working people I have ever come across. Mexico is a great country with a beautiful landscape and a large potential to be even greater, but these cartels are ruining it. Seeing the old man sitting in the church looking up at the ceiling with tears in his eyes makes my heart break. No doubt majority of the Mexican people want peace so they can work and prosper and its really sad that so much of the Mexican government is so corrupt. I will pray for the innocent and hope that those responsible will one day be held accountable for their actions. A strong Mexico benefits everyone. My heart and prayers go out to the people that are suffering and may God help those working to fight the cartels and the corruption, future generations depend on it.

Was told a story of a gun shop owner in the US that had suspicions of some Mexican men trying to buy guns. Later the FBI told the guy to sell as many guns as they will buy as they are going to charger them for illegal guns. So he does. For months and months. Later, he calls the FBI to see whats come of the situation and they say, "oh yeah, we scraped that". Guy thought about getting outta the business. Couldn't sleep over the possibility of what those guns that were sold was apart of.

I know for violent civil wars in central america but that dont justify mutilations on that massive scale. Take for example Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos,Thailand, they had brutal wars, CIA involvement, dictators like Pol Pot but now there is almost no violence . Realize that some men are born that way... They suppress all their fear and meet danger head on, regardless of whether they may die or not... Whether they do it to show others how badass they are, or they are motivated by a political or religious cause, it does not matter. Some are just born to be warriors, not soyboys. I am born and raised in America. I have never fought in a war. However, I am a hunter and a gun owner who shoots hundreds of rounds of ammunition in target practice and training every month, and if evil comes to threaten those who I care about, I will not hesitate to engage this evil until it is neutralized, or I am dead... Hey American gun manufacturers, interested in making more money? Lobby in Mexico for gun advocacy, have politicians make guns legal (since it seems pretty much anyone can already have one), and PROFIT! Who knows, maybe this can help members of cartel-torn communities regain or at least somewhat stabilize their communities. Win Win. I just hate injustice, especially when it happens at the expense of the powerless.

Raul Montoya how is more guns the solution?, use the guns you have and eradicate the cartels, take their guns eradicate the rest with their own weapons and communities will finish the rest, they know their own and the just. Once that is over and done with and their only a few pockets of cartelequese resistance then maybe just maybe you can think about more guns but now i think its about more peace.

***** Great insight Eduard, thank you for commenting. I always side with justice, and when I see un injustice as grave as whats going on in Mexico, I realize there are so many levels of corruption that need to be addressed and fixed. Sadly, the influence of money is what drives decisions, and this transcends across the border into other countries and they have a common dilemma. America for example is a catalyst for corruption and together with its idiotic political stance on certain drugs (e.g.: marijuana), rules that common greed for money and both countries see a mutual benefit. Its a sad reality.

@TOBORtheMighty
10 жыл бұрын
Yes, and they can cause severe injury or death. That's not really much of a problem in rural areas, but the people who do it in major cities are assholes. Of course here in the US ammo costs so much we couldn't afford to burn a full clip like that even if we wanted to. Looks like I need to head south of the border if I want affordable brass.
@TOBORtheMighty

Summer Winter Mythbusters is fun, but it's more entertainment than science and it sounds like they didn't quite nail this one (I know I've seen the episode, but I don't remember specifics). It is almost impossible to fire a gun straight up, so most rounds will maintain a ballistic trajectory rather than tumbling. They lose much of their kinetic energy to the atmosphere, but most are still very dangerous and some keep enough energy to be lethal (just what % is impossible to say since most thankfully never hit people, even in cities). The simple fact is there are dead people to prove how dangerous celebratory fire is. At least two people died this way in the US just last year. A study by a hospital in LA reported nearly 120 injuries by falling bullets between 1985 and 1991, almost 40 of them fatal. In Puerto Rico about 2 people die this way every year according to the CDC. I hope that Mythbusters episode didn't do more harm than good by downplaying the risk. :(

The worst misfortune that has ever happened to Mexico is having the U.S. as it's neighbor. All the extreme violence and most of the criminality that exist in Mexico right now is related to the drugs trafficking business, and the drugs trafficking is a direct consequence of the amazingly huge number of Amerijunkies in the U.S. demanding their daily dose of drugs.

To the guy that said that people do not use Mexican drugs is hugely mistaken. The only drug that is not being imported anymore due to legalization in the states is weed. Anything else, you name it, will usually come from Mexico. Cocaine comes from South America but will 9/10 times pass through Mexico. Pharmaceuticals like Xanax, hydro donor, oxycodone is heavily imported illegally here as well. Methamphetamine, crack, a vast amount of drugs have to be imported to the states. Tell me when you heard of somebody growing a coca plant and extracting Cocaine from it?
@999a0s
9 жыл бұрын
Marketa Martins it's easy to shift the blame and point at us. but in reality everyone wants drugs, and mexico happens to be an ideal climate in many regions for producing marijuana and cocaine. if the US didn't exist, you'd be shipping drugs to whatever the biggest 1st world country was. people will always want drugs, for you to say this is some unique property of americans is incredibly small minded. if you think americans, or anyone, will just stop using meth, cocaine, heroin, and weed, you're an idiot. mexico is fucked up not because of mexicans or americans but because of fate. a lot of us americans are praying for the people of mexico and wanting to see your country's situation improve. so stop being a cunt
@alex8353339
9 жыл бұрын
+999a0s Look, you really need to educate yourself. All what you said is a lie! You Americans have always been blaming us for all the drugs that enter your country when you guys actually don't have an idea of what you all are talking about. Mexico has never been a big producer of drugs... Most of the drugs that enter the U.S. come from central and south America, not Mexico. Americans always think that anything that comes from the south surely comes from Mexico... I guess you all are too dumb to realize that Mexico isn't the only country bellow the U.S. southern border. Mexico is just a transit zone between the producers and the consumers of drugs. You Americans and south Americans are the ones who caused this problem and my country is a victim... Why the U.S. sticks its nose in my country to create and finance the war that's going on right now? We are not the ones who produce all those drugs... Go and nuke those dumb central and south Americans... The only thing they are good at is producing drugs and causing trouble to others. We used to live in peace until you Americans put pressure on our government to start a war against drugs when it wasn't really our problem.

Luckily my family saw what was happening and moved us out, we sold everything that we could possibly own and moved to ontario (there wasn't a guarantee we would stay because they could've kicked us at any time). At this time they didn't think mexico was in such a bad state (2009), so we had to lawyer up and begin paperwork to prove ourselves to be worthy Canadians. I miss my family back home, curently the situation in Uruapan they killed a bunch of kids in a cyber coffee shop randomly when they were having a birthday party, and the violence continues to this day.
