You forgot something. Filipinos, before eating, offer their food to others even if the food is only for them. Saying "Kain tayo!" :) But then, the vid is really funny to watch.

I always tell guests at our dinner party to pack and take food home because it is a kind compliment for the hosts who cook the food. Its like saying, the food is so good we have to take some home. And always, the first thing they reach for is the adobo and Pinoy BBQ

I eat with a spoon, know how to eat with my hand, never throw away left overs and do the dishes when eating in a friend's or relative's house so I'd survive if I go to the Philippines 💃 I've noticed that we, Filipinos and Iraqis, have some things in common :3

It's scary how much I can relate to your videos! But I'd say the funniest part of all of these is your random use of the classic expressions, e.g. "Gee wiz"…"Magine dat!"…"Can yoo beleeb it?"…"My Gahd!"…Shows you not only know your pinoy stuff, you lived it 24/7!

I was recently in the Philippines for a month and I was somewhat familiar with Filipino dining habits and often frequent Filipino restaurants here in New York and I can pretty much put food away when I want to because as someone who lives Suites I generally eat 6 small meals a day but when I got to the Philippines and had rice for breakfast lunch and dinner I knew I was in trouble because generally speaking for myself I eat rice maybe at lunch time if I'm eating fried rice and usually all eat rice at dinner but I only really eat rice maybe less than 10 times month and after the first week I had to tell my girlfriend's mother that I appreciate the hospitality that they've shown me which was to me heart touching because they went out of their way to please me and make me feel comfortable which I was but I told them that although I am about 260 pounds I feel like an amateur eating compared to them because I would get halfway done with my plate and they would pile more rice vegetables and meat on it and I felt like I was in a world-class eating competition and which I always came in last place and they just laughed and told me that Rice was a main part of their meal and even when I ate at jollibee's we had rice and wow I love the food but since I've been back in the States I haven't even looked at Rice!!! The only other thing I had to express which I understand to be another Filipino tradition was they served me first before the eldest which was her father was served and I told my girlfriend to tell her mother and father that I appreciate the hospitality but with all due respect I would feel more comfortable if the father was served first because I have great respect for my elders and that since I'm going to be part of the family then that should be the natural course of etiquette anyway which they understood but again i have to say that filipino hospitality is like no other...mabuhay ang philippines!!
