You need a bigger filter! We have 2 of those pumps in 1k tanks, best you will get is 20-25 gpm with 1" line and we run Napa 4051 filters which are good to 30gpm. The filter you have currently is good for about 12-15 gpm. Also, could you put the filter down by the 2nd meter? Easier to change down there. Keep up the good work with all your videos, I enjoy you're commentary and sense of humor!

The guy that serviced the fuel tanks and pumps where I worked built a higher volume pump using a pump and reel from a fuel truck that would actually pump 45 gallons a minute. They ran off the PTO on a fuel truck so it took a couple pulleys and an explosion proof electric motor.

Poisville- Hagen equation of flow through a tube is depended on pressure, viscosity, shape of tube (round) and radius to the 4th power. For example a 19% increase in radius doubles the flow, a 50% increase is quadruple flow. So a bigger hose makes a big difference.

Andy I worked at great plains industries Wichita Kansas. They were always trying to knock fill rite out of first place in sales. They made transfer pumps. Like what you have in your pick up. My dad bought a tut hill pump in the early 80s. We have cleaned connections , and changed the hose. It still works I still use it. I drove dad's pick up to work a time or two. The plant manger checked out dad's tut hill pump. Did I tell you tut hill pump company makes fill rite pumps. That's a new one. If you get stuck it makes the mud hole worst. On a wet yr some plants may drown out. Never grow a crop again. That's a new one on me!!!!

Andy another good video, I have one question though, when you are planting alfalfa seeds do you put the seeds in the ground at a shallow depth or do you just drop them on top and the roller pushes them into the soil? We always seeded alfalfa with oats as a cover crop, the oats were in the ground and alfalfa dropped on the ground and rolled in to smooth the field and push the small stones into the ground. I agree with you about the wet spot.
