In the late 2000's Kodak began demolishing the buildings on it's campus. The world declared "film is dead". But for Seawood Photo, a long time fixture in San Rafael, California since 1947, and home to the largest vintage camera collection in the state, film never died. And when the "resurrection" of film happened it was just business as usual for Seawood. Forever faithful to the alchemy and chemistry of analog image making. While fully embracing the Frankenstein possibilities of digital.
This video provides an overview of the past, present, and future of a beloved and unshakeable bay area institution.
