Alexandra Velasco is a bilingual filmmaker and multimedia artist from Mexico City. Her work revolves around bold avant-garde
films starring weirdos and outcasts with Lynchian undertones dealing with themes of guilt and redemption that jumpstart tough conversations. Her purpose is to create art that acts as a mirror, to help them access their emotions, dreams, nightmares, and inner workings of their minds. Her art has been screened at museums, galleries, and festivals worldwide and has been featured in Vogue, Elle, i-D magazine, and IndieWire. Her latest short “The Seventh Circle” is currently streaming on NoBudge. She is in the post-production phase for Episode 1 of her dark arthouse vampire series set in the underground scene of Mexico City about a woman battling the darkness within before it devours her whole and turns her into a monster thirsting for revenge.
