Realistically the most likely reason Tony isn't charged with any crimes is because of Nick Fury. SHIELD has a lot of sway in the MCU and seems to operate on their own terms in many cases. Fury's contact with Tony at the end of the first movie was probably not only enough to get him as an agent of SHIELD but also make sure any crimes he committed were considered justifiable under the conditions they were in.

This is exactly what I was thinking when the video started. Superheroes are pretty much breaking laws by being superheroes. However, in the MCU, some of them are covered in at least some of their acts by being government sanctioned. Captain America, Falcon, and Hawkeye all started that way, though they wound up going rogue in Civil War. War Machine has always operated under government authorization. The Sokovia Accords temporarily brought all those that agreed to it under legal operation, which applied to both Iron Man and Spider-Man.

Most of this was likely covered by some "conditional immunity" clause written into Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D *"Avengers Initiative"*. So long as he kept Stark's name on the list of members (or even potential members) it probably blocked most government agencies from pursuing action against him. But, then I remembered that Tony can just call his suit over to break him out or make something to bust out with the materials he has at hand. Maybe a prison in space run only by robots so no human spacecraft would be there for Tony to use and escape.

Any prison that confiscates his tech when they book him. It's not like he has any super powers. But, in the MCU, he would likely be kept in a prison specifically made for super-powered people, like Clint, Scott, and Sam were in Civil War (all of whom have no powers without their equipment).

Rhodes didn't have a warrant of seizure with him. If Tony wanted to, he could've taken the case to a federal court for violating his Constitutional rights. Furthermore, because the Air Force modified the suit using a third party contractor, Hammer Industries, he could sue for disclosing everything about the suit and it's software. I Iron Man 2, Tony held a lot of cards, but let it slide because SHIELD was working with him. SHIELD was the reason none of these charges came to light and it was them that kept the government from owing reparations from theft, damage from illegal seizure, revealing corporate secrets to a rival company, and endangering lives at the Stark Expo because they allowed said rival company to modify said trademarked suit. And that's just the second movie.

I agree that the glasses tony gave Peter were like guns, but it’s more of like a bodyguard, as they were out to protect him, as Peters identity was exposed so he was probably a target for some people and like popular celebrities, they need bodyguards which usually have firearms which is similar here as there is ai (I don’t know if the ai will reject commands like a reasonable bodygaurd)

And his death by the snap was random, not targeted. Yes, he died on Titan, but if he hadn't been there, he would've died on Earth. Tony did not cause his death, nor could he have prevented it.

i swear matt stopped watching anything he makes videos on. he's got to much work with the 4 channels now. like he clearly didnt know that peter was fighting crime way before tony approached him. tony says he's been keeping tabs on him. its like ok someone is fighting crime with there fist. so instead you give them a sword. oh but the people got guns. so you give him armor. and a bigger gun. (non lethal of course... maybe a little lethal)

@@kahlilcrawley5156 Don't mistake the movie for the comics. In the Civil War comic book arc, the conflict was about supers revealing their identities, in the movie it was about accepting government supervision. Peter's identity doesn't need to be revealed for him to sign the accords and follow orders. I mean, Stark acts as the higher-ups' enforcer, pretty much, and Peter follows his orders.
