Fancy coming on a 2hr trip to Italy with me to film my first wedding?
The trip starts in the Lake District (my home) where I'm packing for my first destination wedding in San Gimignano, Tuscany. I briefly explain what equipment I'm taking along with some issues I thought I may or may not run into.
I then meet up with my mum (yes she's coming too) to get the train to Manchester airport. If you can't guess where we're staying at the airport, have you even watched any of my travel day vlogs? It's of course none other than the Radisson Blu based at Manchester T2. We then spend the night at our "runway view room" and head off to Pisa courtesy of Jess Glynn & Jet 2.
The actual wedding venue is about 1h 30min drive from the airport or a bus which seems to take upwards of 8 hours. We obviously opt for the car hire (Sicily by car) and head to San Gimignano. This is also my first time ever driving in a foreign country AND on the wrong side of the road.
We stay at Hotel Sovestro for 2 nights situated just down the drive from Guardestelle (the wedding venue). I can't recommend this hotel more! The service, the price, the location and the actual hotel was 10/10.
I then grab my wedding gear and begin the 12 hour wedding shoot with help from my mum. This wedding is hands down one of my favourite weddings I've ever had the pleasure of filming. The views are just stunning.
We then end the trip eating and drinking our way around a very stormy Pisa. Sound up your street? Lets go!
