FYI The Confederate officer on the left at 4:45 with the moustache is author Jeff Shaara who wrote Gods and Generals and who's father wrote The Killer Angels that was turned into Gettysburg. He has a cameo in the film.

Ever since I first noticed the band in the movie, I have wanted to know what it was like for y’all! How fantastic to see you enjoying yourselves, and playing in such a fantastic film, one of the greatest of all time if you ask me! I also thoroughly enjoyed the description of this video, very interesting to have some background information! Lastly, it is incredible that you know Kincaid, he is another one of my favorites!

I was going to say, ''That was you?'', but then I realised, of course it was you guys, who else could it be? Loved the film and the scene that you guys were in is one of the highlights for me. By the way, looks like a blue belly gave you a thumb down, but we know how to deal with them, it's in the lyrics for Southern Soldier. Thanks for the upload and keep up the good work, tons of us enjoy it...................

Civism is for sure by reminding people about their land history, especially in hard days (like after the WTC tragedy, as the country had It's better and worse days). It's very important to know what had happened before you were born, the most effective way (to make people know) are movies and music. So You have done both of 'em. Thank you!

9/11 happened during the production of this film. Actor Martin Sheen (who played Robert E. Lee in the 1993 film Gettysburg) was prepared to take a Tuesday morning flight from Dulles to LAX if Warner Bros agreed to pay him $1 million to reprise his role of Robert E. Lee. Because Warner Brie passed, Sheen was not on American Airlines Flight 77 on the morning of September 11, 2001.
