Am I the only one that can see the old (original?) three point line shadow next to the closer one they moved up for the ‘95 season?
@marigracericana4021
2 жыл бұрын
Me too. They basically reused the court from the 1993-94 season then downsize the line. It also occured to other teams' courts as well (except for the Bulls and the Cavaliers, their current arenas were opened in the 1994-95 season so they have brand new courts with the downsized three-point line.) Well, it wasn't just NBA arenas, but non-NBA arenas with the NBA-spec court as well. The Hartford Civic Center in CT had the old line's shadow when they downsized their court's NBA three line. You would see it in Ray Allen's college highlights. Even though the high school three point line is as close as the downsized NBA line, Ray still shoots from the high school line. Even though the Knicks would have a new court in 1995-96 season, the old three point line shadow was still there. I wonder if the 1995-96 Knicks court was actually built on an older court.
@professorofsport7028
4 ай бұрын
I always noticed that at the time. I remember as a kid thinking of it as if someone tried to use a pencil eraser on the court to erase the old 3-point line, and didn't do a good enough job to remove it completely.

Even though Reggie crapped on the Knicks when you look at the whole Ewing-Knicks & Reggie-Pacers rivalry they were pretty much even. They met in the playoffs 6 times from 1993 to 2000 with Knicks winning 3 times and the Pacers winning 3 times. The difference is the Knicks got to the Finals twice while the Pacers got to the Finals once. If anything the Knicks were more successful in this era than Indiana.

Stunning mistakes after mistakes. No idea why pacers had to foul after tied 105-105, two missed free throws from Knicks, when Ewing got the rebound why he had to shoot instead of passing out and ran out the clock, why had to foul Miller for an offensive rebound, last play was ridiculous should have given to the star player to finish the last play

3:38 why is that not a foul on Indiana? No, it is not allowed to push or intentionally use physical force against an opponent in basketball, even when you have the ball. Basketball is a non-contact sport, and players are expected to play the game with fairness and respect for their opponents Miller pushed and that's that, and he knew he did it after it happened. Doesn't take away from his performance with the ball in his hands, but still. And Spike Lee saw it(I think that's him)! If you listen carefully you can hear him screaming about and stamping his foot when Miller hits the next three.
