The original SCSI hard drive of this vintage Apple classic, a 250 MB Quantum ProDrive, is getting the 'click of death' indicative of nearing end-of-life. Can't complain about that lifespan. We gave it one last whirl for the sake of those nostalgic whirrs and grinds. Its content has been backed up, and will be transferred to a BlueSCSI solution to allow the (recently recapped) Performa itself future life. As for the original hard drive itself, it will enjoy a well-earned retirement in a box of personal keepsakes.
