I just never liked how in the beginning if u strayed too far from the town out of nowhere a hard ass enemy pops out and just annihilates your whole team, that was a big killjoy

It's considered the worst of the early Nintendo era... but there are videos here on YT that'll disagree. I personally respect Square for trying something new, but if I rank all 6 of the early games, this will most likely be last... I mean SOMETHING has to be.

@ratchetxrc glad you like it, right now I am using Mixcraft 5 for most of my remixes and garage band for a few.

You really nailed the retro sound with this, I love it! I grew up on The Promised Land, so I always look for its influence in remixes and I feel it here.

Lolface66 Of course, that's the whole point of sparring! Only instead of sparring it's stabbing them. I'm sure it works the same way.

yeah its like sparring. you dont get killed by just 1 sword slash becasue video games, so this makes sense. i mean look at the intro of ff dimensions, sol gets surprise attacked a glaive, and they just whack each other with swords till one of thems at critical hp. in real life this would look different, (no one would get hit because they would bleed) but since its in a game its logical, i loved ff2 for this method of leveling up. even in real life people get stronger by working out, wearing out there muscles, only for them to regrow stronger, and what better way for a character in a game to get worn out than getting whacked with a sword.

OP never said it was perfect. Said the stat system was more realistic... And it does make sense to get better at swords if you use swords. Why should a character get more Mana or Int if they never cast a spell?

@Jordansoldat Thanks a bunch, I still am trying to perfect some such as the 3rd overworld from ff5, the ff7 first one, and maybe a few others. Thanks for the sub by the way, much appriciated!

Why does The Emperor look melancholic? I wonder if he has some background around his actions.

To put it simply, when he had become the emperor of palamecia, he succumbed to a long running curse that possessed the rulers of palamecia. So he was just next in line of that cycle. So his actions aren’t entirely by his own intention.
