Hien really is a cool boss it's the first boss that actually forces you to pay attention to their attacks and hit them with the weakness element that changes everytime they're hit also I believe he's the only boss in the game with high evasion

The basslines on all of the SNES FF games were always so sick. Something about the soundfont just sounds so good.

I actually beat him without a scholar, considering how I didn't know that they were a selectable job at that time. I just kept using black elemental spells on him sorta at random and wound up beating em

@@thatblondekid7317 I mean tbf, my team was white mage + warrior + black mage + monk (I think) So my monk and warrior did do some good amount of damage to stack on the magic attacks Or something, I guess

@@Bob-qe4rr Yeah Black mage getting good hits and a high level monk can fight through his high defense stat. Randomizer you just gotta pray for Magic items or OP Weapons w/ higher ranked jobs

Elemental staves made this fight doable without a scholar.

I went to put this theme on during a fight in our D&D session, couldn't see an extended one, and so I settled for your non-extended version. This upload went live minutes after that session ended, and I think that's hilarious.

Man FFIII with an official 2D remaster would be so sweet. I would want that more than anything else really-other than just a brand new FF game. Amazing cover btw. Hein is one of my favorite boss battles in the series.

Flashbacks to my 20 minute Hein fight because I didn’t bring any any elemental damage sources. Oh my gosh, that was painful, chipping him down 15 damage at a time...

Ninjas man. Ninjas rule the famicom version. Sages are also good. Standard party for the endgame is two ninjas and two sages, one for black magic and the other for healing duties. But goddamn ninjas are so stupidly powerful on Famicom. Shurikens do ungodly damage. Ninjas have always been FF’s god class. They were the best trait job in FFV (dual weapons combined with hunters multi shot on a freelancer equals death to almost everything since you could equip a freelancer with two knight swords). On FF Tactics they were OP beyond all reasonableness. I mastered Ninja with every single character I used in Tactics.

right, although i didnt really use ninja at all for most things, i usually did it the hard way, i used a fricken dark knight, magus, devout and knight to fight cloud of darkness, needless to say- I got slain in the first 5 turns of the fight happening. and yeah in FFV you can just absolutely murder with dual wield and rapid fire, but also combine that with spell blade and boom the enemy nearly stands no chance. and i mostly used chemists in FFT, even brought them to the end boss, all i need to say is: gun.

It's an SNES remixed version of the original NES theme of FF3 that was never released to the US until the late 2000's as a Nintendo DS remake.
