When I was playing Final Fantasy IX for the Playstation One, I always looked forward to going back to the world map because of its really relaxing music that made it a pleasure to explore the world of Gaia.
This is my orchestral reinterpretation of "Crossing Those Hills" aka the world map theme. I was only intending it to be a regular orchestration, but somewhere along the way as I was practicing the guitar parts, I heard some inspirations from country and bluegrass music. So I incorporated them in the final result. Also, the "Melodies of Life" theme makes a cameo appearance. Enjoy!
