Always start on the top surfaces first. Spray one side, then the other before the clear has time to flash. Then work your way downward. This also helps keeps from getting your suit or hose in the fresh paint...Looks good, spray on...Oh, get a dirt pick or bug pick...

I do appreciate your video. There is a ton of dirt/contamination. I'm just curious if some of it might be the clear coat can't bury small dirt maybe? I'm sure that the environment plays a role as well.

I was going to say the same, Guy should take all the shit out of the area that he doesn't need, Cant believe he sprayed the side mirrors on that skid against the wall, Can only imagion all the dust specs in the parts, Why spends countless hours polishing and buffing when just having a cleaner area will equal less time in the end. Like buddy really needs that ladder in there? All the spots for dust to sit on and blow out of in the process of painting beside it , Floor's not even wet to add on top lol.

1011theguy not true at all, a good lacquer will be much more durable, have far superior UV protection and scratch resistance.
@1982MCI
5 жыл бұрын
Dale Wright I’m not sure about that buddy. I’ve sprayed lacquer for 40+ years and these new urethanes and enamels they have out now are far superior to any lacquer as far as strength and durability and UV protection. I think you may be able to get a better shine with lacquer but it’s a ton of work to get it there where the new paints have the shine straight out of the booth and only reason to cut and run is if you got texture or trash but your not gonna improve the shine at all.
@1011theguy
5 жыл бұрын
yup he is 100+ right glausurit is better then any lacquer paint and its a urethane clear system been spraying it for 10+ years the doi is the best ive seen plus every 6 months a lacquer has too be buffed to retain shine its a oldschool way of painting a car

This guy may be the worst painter I have ever seen... EVERYTHING he did in this video is wrong!!! First thing is you should lift the car up so you can get the rockers and bottom of fenders and quarters not take the tires off and drop it on the ground!! You should never have your air compressor in the paint booth because it sucks those fumes in and messes up the compressor and every time the compressor comes on it blows dirt all over your fresh paint job!!! You should clean that room up and get all that junk out of there!!! It looks like he used a decent product so it laid down pretty good but that was the only thing he did right in this video!!!! P.S. they sell these things called spray socks to put over your head.. They work really well!!!
