Great honest review! I agree some after thoughts that should not have not made production . Bloody lovely looking tractor mind!👍🥟

Great honest review, Cathal.. For me, the cost per hour over the older tractors would be a huge factor. When you take depreciation into account, I'm sure it would be multiple times that of the older ladies. Plus, they are far more complex, so carrying out your own repairs would be impossible in a lot of cases. Fine tractor mind 👍

Alan you are 100% right but I stayed away from cost and depreciation as it would vary for every person, trade in values, Vat off set, and so on. With the old girls you have an appreciating asset vs a machine that would be depreciating, however with the old girls vs a new tractor you have much more maintenance. There are pros and cons for each and I suppose you have to find what works best for your own business. Our farm could not justify it.

Good review 👍 nice to drive etc like any new stuff , BUT as u said what life time will it have ,especially with electric and Ecu stuff , probably more expensive to fix !!! Old skool rules , may not have the nice luxury bit n bobs n gizmos !!

Seems to be the way they are all going, with add blue and all that stuff. Can’t get away from it. Can’t beat the old school.😊

When talking about economy another factor to it would have to be the cost of buying it and what it's worth when u sell it, an overall cost of ownership.. Great review!

Thanks Daniel. Yes could have look at cost new vs old and depreciating cost. But it’s different for everyone with trade ins etc.

One thing you have forgot on your chart which is the most important thing to any farmer is price . And them old classics you have hardly cost you any think to run.. You you never have the problem fitting implements because every tractor has its own implements Only thing you should have kept is the front bucket. 😊

Thanks Abbie, I just choose not to include the price as it so variable. You could be trading in a 5 year old tractor and me a 40 year old tractor and with all sorts of deals, VAT offset, finance etc I thought it too complex. If someone is interested in buying it, best to contact the dealer near them and get a proper price to change.👍👍 I did really like that bucket, just wont fit my 62!!

Actually a guttsey wee tractor and was well able for the tanker. Could not fault it. You had to be in the right gear and with the Dyna 4 that is easy to get wrong until you get used to it. 110Hp loads of power for the jobs we were doing.

Just a point about adjusting the rear arms, you don’t need to fully turn the adjuster, small turn then lift it up, turn it back, drop it down and turn it again
@FlyingFergyMan

That is correct Thomas, no need for a 360 turn, but in this case you could not as it was hitting the vertical stay bar. Fine when no implement on the back as you can push the link arm out wide enough to get past the stay arm. Apart from that little issue though, I thought it was a great wee tractor.

To be fair Cathal, the power shuttle problem you mention with the 6200, you can totally avoid by putting your right hand gear lever into neutral.

Correct John and that’s what I do now. In the video I was highlighting how the new tractor is designed with user error in mind. Best practice is put it out of gear at the stick.

If the 20 litre drum adblue comes in has a do not recycle sticker on it does it justify the emissions saving versus the manufacturer and disposal of the plastic 20litre drum. I know for big operators you can buy in bulk but most smaller operators and car drivers tend to buy the smaller 10 or 20 litre drums. So how environmentally friendly is adblue
@FlyingFergyMan

Good point Patrick, but why would you not be able to recycle it? The container should be made of HDPE, most recycling centers will accept this?

@@FlyingFergyMan don't know why but look at the sticker on the side says not to be recycled. May the add blue contaminates the plastic. I always taught it was mad myself. Good videos.
