Very informative. I'm currently sorting through about 10k cards, mostly junk wax, but have a ton of modern too. I plan to do a similar experimental submission once I get through this process and identify what I want to submit. This is very helpful and gives me some good ideas about how to make my selections. Thanks for making this one.

Thank you! SGC has made public all hi-res scans since I made this video, which can be a big help. If you have an account and use their cert number lookup, you should be able to find good photos of anything you see on eBay/MySlabs/etc. Awesome painting, by the way.

@@Base1986 No disrespect taken ;)...I think that he is going to have one of those long careers and gain a lot of fans along the way. If baseball ever does crossover into the mainstream\popular culture like Football and Basketball, then he will play a large role in that. Maybe $25k was a slight exagerration. Let's say $18k just to be on the safe side. By the way...Tyler Herro, Antronio Brown, Dez Bryant, and Lebron Optic refractors are still stelas right now!

Highly sophisticated quantitative analytics. :) LOL....Iet's say for the sake of argument the Mookie refractors only score $500 bucks in 10 years. That's still a 2,500% ROI. And that's with my being off of my original projection by 98%. I bought Kawhi refractors for like .99 cent 2 years ago that sold for over $75 this past August.

I'm not a Beckett grading fan at all, but this is a good argument for their system. At least you get sub grades and can get an idea of what they're seeing. At the end of the day, it's all an opinion...and opinions don't make sense sometimes.

I feel your pain...unfortunately PSA doesn't seem any better at this point. They've marked club memberships "sold out" which means you can't use any of their cheapest service tiers unless you're already a member. The turnaround times are no better and the pop control is concerning as well. More of the same nonsense we've come to expect from graders... On the bright side, the volume seems to be tiring both companies out and they really seem to be making an effort to scale their operations and be in better communication. I can only imagine the burn out of the people that work there. Something has to give.........right?

Nice reveal! The Ripken FF looks like from the back that it has a tilt to it. As far is the Griffey's I heard they also take the hologram sticker in account when grading that card.
