I am swedish and Sari Nordlunds top is beautiful! The color "Kitt" is the paste you put round the glas on a old window so it stays in place. It is a "kind" of "little bit dirty" off-white (or white with little bit light grey). Lovely podcast you have!!

You are getting so good, that lace sleeveless is just stunning. I am also a hobby thriftier. My husband not at all so he always sits in the vehicle reading a book while I hunt lol. I love to thrift with my oldest daughter and last time we were together she said "omgosh, this is our casino isnt it?" INDEED!! 😄😄Its not a gamble in the sense that you will lose something if you hunt, but you just never know if your going to get lucky or not.

I’m in the southern US - we know hot. 🥵 Almost 2 months of high 90s to 103! And barely any rain. So grateful for central air and a nice comfy home. It’s always nice when you’re happy in your space. It looks lovely. The top is very nice. Yay you for reknitting it. I tend to give away what I mess up but then I’m just now starting to use better quality yarns. The cotton wool top is gorgeous! 🧶💕🧶.

Welcome home, Erin! I think “Putty” is that substance/paste you put in between bricks and that hardens. I guess it’s somewhat off-white, right? And I was taking with someone who speaks German and they were saying that “Kitt” is that same substance, but in German and also Norwegian. I found it quite interesting! Your Sari Nordlund’s top/vest is stunning! You make such intricate patterns, it’s a joy to watch, especially because I make everything in plain stockinette 😂😂 I’m so interested to see how your Ozetta Tee turns out with the stripes! I have some fingering weight summer yarns leftover from other projects and was thinking about making a stripey camisole (or something similar) too and I could use some inspiration. Yay for the Chiagoo needles!!!

Thank you!!! OMG that makes so much sense. Thank you!! I would be so interested to see what stripey camisole you came up with. You always have great ideas :)

Mortar is what you use between bricks, putty is what you use to repair holes in plaster or gyproc. Both are the same off-white colour. Great podcast!

That's interesting about having to prove you know how to knit. To circumvent any issues when I went to Mexico, I bought bamboo Chia Goo needles. There was not way I'd take the chance that my metal Chia Goos were going to be confiscated. Glad you're back and great tops. Your second hand yarn is beautiful. The blue and beige would look great as colourwork as well. No wonder I can't find second hand yarn around here....you get there first LOL. Take care.

Your knits are so inspiring to me. Just gorgeous. I also have a ChiaGoo interchangeable set and have had to buy many more needles, such as a range of sizes of 16 inch because the interchangeable set’s smallest cord is longer than 16”. But, the best needles i have discovered are the 9” circulars which i now use for sleeves. Thank you for your podcast. 😊

Thank you!!! I still have to try the 9" circulars. You aren't the first to say good things 💕

I liked the Philospher's Wwool interview on Fruity Knitting, and a couple of months later I found their color work book in the thrift store. I think they were a lovely company, so nice that you got some of their yarn.

Love your sweater is love your podcast hey just an idea about the turning the pages a lot why don’t you print out that one page that you have to keep turning back to, make an extra page and so you’ll have two pages and you’ll just have to look back and forth on either page instead of turning the pages I hope that makes sense

I don't understand the hype over mohair. I've only knit with it in the form of sock yarn that has a small percentage of mohair in it to give it strength, and haven't been bothered by that. But it seems like every knitting podcast I watch has someone knitting with mohair and needing to stop talking to pick bits of fluff off their face. It makes me not want to even try knitting with it. Am I really missing out?

I like the look but I don't know how I feel about it yet completely either. It does seem to add to the squish factor which I like but a blown yarn can do that too. I hear it can also help keep your wools from pilling. Interested to see if that is the case for me.
