Because I am an idiot this video is missing bits of footage showing me pointing out things to go along with the voice over. Somehow I missed adding this during editing so please help me out by imagining me being there to point things out OK, thanks.

Absolute class! Mega is the only way to describe it mate. Tops the cupboard by some way and I think you’d agree 😆 I bet you feel proper cool pal because this is the ultimate rig 🤙

Mate just having room to breath has been such a nice feeling and the options having the rig out of the cupboard has opened up to me has really got my imagination firing away.

Great tour Jason! I also have the GT1-Evo and it’s been perfect, adapting to any new hardware I throw at it! Enjoy your new setup location! 😊

Thanks mate and I am enjoying building my setup how I want it and not what my cupboard allowed, as for the GT1 EVO rig it’s been a real game changer and is it ever built to last.

Nice show and tell, enjoyed that. Had the Accuforce V1 myself from 2015 to 2022 when I replaced it with a Simucube Pro. And yeah, while the Accuforce served me very well, the Simucube is smoother, faster, more nuanced and delivers the forces in a more 'analog' way. Really worth the upgrade to me. I must say that I like what Asetek has brought to the table.

The Accuforce is a real hefty bit of kit that is built to last but i feel the encoders in the V1 model which are nearly a decade old now have now begun to age compared with the newer models that can leverage much newer technology. So far I am very impressed with my Asetek kit and i look forward to seeing how their upgrade path works out for when I am ready to change things up.

Nice set up! Those are some lovely peripherals bolted to your rig. I'm sim racing in the corner of my living room.

Well a rig is not a rig without a few extra bits of sim racing gear bolted on where ever possible 🤣👍

Great set up mate, nice and tidy👍 I’m running a similar size rig. Recently upgraded from my trusty old play seat to an omega gt prime lite and it’s made such a big difference. As you mention the ability to put what you want exactly where you want it is a must. Mounted my sequential same as you for the touring cars and rallying, added a cheap £60 Amazon handbrake and still have room for more👀😂 Buttkicker mounted under seat. Now I’m off to price up some asetek kit👍😂

I never knew just how much of a difference a decent cockpit would make to my sim racing experience and that was when i restrained by the confines of my cupboard, now i have the freedom to set things up as i want them the flexibility of this style of rig is really showing through. Although the Asetek is not the cheapest gear out there i think its still a good value proposition as the build quality is very good and they are building up an eco system with upgradability.

Thanks for sharing your setup jason ! im just a casual racer with a a custom desk i built that is fully mounted to the floor/wall , with a leather steel case office chair [unfortunately i had a faux leather chair that didnt fair well] ... i recently did a hardware upgrade and can fully recommend the Lian Li Lancool III RGB case, it's the most flexable/thoughtout/clean/easy to build in case i have ever used ... and is very reasonable in price! i also went from a trusty G29 to the Gpro wheel its not everyones cup of tea ... but fitted the bill for me. we are lucky in recent times to have so many quality choices in the things like wheelbases and such like to have ones to fit each of our varying needs and budgets!

Cheers mate and thanks for the heads up about the case and I’m going to check that one out. The amount of choice at every price point in the sim racing genre is fantastic and it means we can all find something that’s allows us to go sim racing no matter our circumstances be that budget or space.

Thanks for the video! Did you have to drill any holes in the pedal base plate or wheelbase mount to get everything on? I see Asetek sells wheelbase mounts, but I don't know if I will actually need it seeing that you have it fit on the stock mount. I've heard that some people have had to do that with the Asetek equipment on the Sim Lab rigs. I don't want to spend extra money if I don't have to!

Cheers mate and as for mounting, well I did have to drill some new holes in the wheel deck to mount the base correctly, it was easy as I just used the drilling guide on the Asetek website. As for the pedals I pretty sure I found a row of corresponding holes on the base plate.

Treat yourself and get rid of this tubular seat. Get a proper fiber bucket, you will get much more comfort. And also it will be better to fit bass shakers.

Mate i have only recently got this seat to replace a cracked and creaking fiberglass one i had before, so until this one either snaps or rusts away its staying on the rig !
