Thanks for the update, the grass looks great. Same here with the scalping I’ve been scalping now for 2 years and it really takes forever to recover. What are you putting down for the fungus? Glad your back 👍🏻

I'm going with 4lb of Disease EX per 1000 Sq ft of yard. It's worked well for me in the past. If that does not get it, I will get a liquid one in a backpack sprayer. I don't think mine is very bad yet so I am hopeful the Disease Ex gets it.

Overall, are you glad you converted your lawn from fescue to zoysia? Do you find it is truly more drought and heat tolerant than fescue? Does it bother you at all that it is brown in the winter? Thanks for your videos!

Hello. I do like the Fescue look in the winter. However, I find that its prone to turning brown and spotty in the summer unless you are putting down a lot of water if it gets hot. I think both lawns are good and just have different pros and cons. I don't mind the brown in the winter at all but I can see how some people may be bothered by it. To me, its a few months that require zero yard work for me. LOL. I like projects and I like learning so I am glad I did this. I love the way this grass handles these hot summers. My back yard may wind up back to fescue as the trees around my property and neighboring properties produce a lot of shade. I am going to try some strips of zeon there to see how it does but I may wind up back with fescue there.

@@ccooke70 Thank you! I live in Pennsylvania and my back yard is about 12,000 feet of fescue. However by mid June it is brown from the heat and won't be green again until September. It is too much to water so I was thinking of slowing converting it to Zoysia by killing off an area and out in plugs, then slowly over time put down more and more plugs. My front lawn is much smaller and am able to keep it green all summer by watering. The idea of zoysia and how it repairs itself and would stay green in the hot summer is very tempting!
