Found pinhole leak on my pad. Had literally thrown away and came across your video and grabbed from my garbage! Thank you!

This method really works. My pad has many holes in it, but the seam grip saves the day.

Great helpful video. On my pad, the spots didn't jump out right away on first spray. After spraying, I had to smear the watery-soapy mix around my pad with a wet towel, kind of like evening out cake frosting, to get the bubble coverage more even. After that my two slow leaks jumped out clearly and I was able to mark them.

Thanks. I found the leak on my Thermarest with the water bottle method. Waiting for it to dry before using the Seam Grip and T-Tape patch.

Thank you very much. I spent a couple of hours trying to submerge 2 pads in water, couldn't find holes. Tried your spray method and found them in minutes on both pads.

Wow!! I thought I found the leak in my expensive sleeping pad using the bathtub method - unfortunately it still leaked ever so slowly (had to reinflate during the middle of the night). So, I fixed it again by buying a new $$$ pad ;(. However, I wish I'd found this video before "fixing" the problem for a bunch of $$$. I'll give this method a try and if it works, I'll have a great backup for my new sleeping pad. Thanks for sharing...

I could hear roughly where the leak was whilst squeezing it in the bath but nothing visible. But I located it by feeling the air on the tip of my nose 👍

@@brentfraunfelder892 I would use some other reinforcement like patch material along with the glue for a larger hole.

My cat clawed literally 40 holes in 2 places on my klymit insulated static v ultralite s/l $$ I put shoe goo on the holes and its not leaked since. Find the holes and smear over the entire area. You could rebulid your Vans in the 80's with this stuff. Trust

Did my best and went over my ust mattress with a fine tooth comb and a spray bottle just like the video. Still a mystery and no leak detected. Yet is flat as a board half way through the night when sleeping on it. sigh...

Did you try putting weight on it? Sometimes smaller holes are subtle with the bubbles.

@@jonallenoutside I did indeed. I squeezed and combed over the whole thing. I am simply baffled. The unit has a lifetime warranty so hopefully I will have some avenue to take.

What do you think about putting weight on the patches as the glue dries?* BTW, thanks for the tip. * or even temporarily fixing the patches between the jaws of a clip.

Probably a good idea. I put a weight on top when I’m using that tape on my down jacket.
