I realize your intent is good but - just so you know- Memorial Day is the day we, as a nation, set aside to remember those that lost their lives at war while serving our nation. There is nothing happy about it. Every war is human suffering. It is the suffering of those directly sucked into it's hell , those that survive scarred mentally or physically & - especially - of the loved ones left behind. Every war is a failure of humanity. May leaders of nations never forget the lessons of the past and learn to hate war more than one another.

Humanity is pathetic. Most of the time we are fighting. Sometimes till death. All wars are the same. Small, at home, in families and between countries. They are all tragic. End the wars you can end.

A country shows the value of its young men by not sending them to die needlessly. Conservatives make a lot of noise about how much they regard our solders but they are the first to send them to their deaths. Not ONE of our young men have died for our freedom since the end of the Second World War, all were for politics. If members of our government feel strongly that killing is necessary, they and their sons need to be at the front of the lines with weapons in their hands and leading the charge.

no privacy I just looked here on KZitem. There’s several videos. Some are titled “Cost of Freedom/Daylight Again” and some are “”Daylight Again/Find the Cost of Freedom”. 🤷♀️ The album is “Daylight Again”. I don’t own the album only own the 45rpm single. Interesting. 😊

I like the orginal version, last track on the Daylight again album. The vocals are near perfect and theres a banjo solo just before the ending stanza, which is a song from much earlier in their history. 1971 I believe. This newer combined version is from 1982.

You still out there, Resaca Rat? Nice job! This Marine Corps veteran and music nerd salutes you! This version is exponentially superior to others I was familiar with, including "Seal Team", CSNY "Four-Way Street", and CSN "So Far". Took me a while to figure out it came from "Daylight Again". Allergies actin' up this morning watching your video and thinking about Ukraine.

And we are leaving Afghanistan to it’s fate. Short sighted policy. We should have propped up the New Democratic government before leaving.
