I’ve had the opportunity to thrift shop in many different places, through travel and college towns my kids lived in. My favorite places have definitely been large college towns. Gainesville, Florida, where UF is, was my favorite. Prices were fair and they had a variety of shops. Resale, church thrift, and of course GW. Worst thrift shopping has been in south Florida. My daughter is at K-State in Manhattan KS and she’s had pretty good luck finding Lululemon! I’ve always been intrigued by the pricing structure of GW stores. And I agree with your comment about individual pricing. So labor intensive.

My husband went to K-State, he’s from Wichita! I’ll remember that if we are ever driving through there. I agree about college towns, I always have decent luck in those areas!

I still would have bought that Patagonia jacket. That do have a repair department that you can send your items into, though it’s about 20 weeks turnaround at the moment. I would have pit my own patch on it, especially one like a bear or a turtle or a tree or something like that. 😊💕

Love to see pricing from other Goodwills. I live in Austin, TX and the prices here are outrageous!

Hi, I recently found your channel and have been binge watching. I can tell you are a reporter in how you dig deep into everything. I appreciate all of the work that goes into that. I have learned so much from you. If you have time, would you do a video about how to quickly research a clothing item to list? I struggle with spending way too much time on this. I also notice that you find the stock photos for a lot of your items which I can never find the right one. You've got a good husband there. He seems to be supportive of your reselling business which can make a huge difference. Thanks in advance!

What a cool concept to undertake on your move to the west coast! I will add that Hannibal MO is the birthplace of Mark Twain and also a bit of a tourist trap (?) so that may explain the pricing? Just a guess. Now that you're in a bigger city, you should really check out the Goodwill Outlet/ bins for sourcing. It's all I do now. pay by the pound. ;-)

I’m actually living about two hours away from Portland, but I’m so excited to visit the bins! I’ve never been before, I can’t wait!
