Just got my first fish finder ever.. helix 7 msi. The example of being closer or further from the docks and the appearance of fish in this video is extremely educational in understanding how the SI works and how to use it as a tool. Thanks so much for the great lesson!

Hi ...I loved your video. Learned a lot. But I am still having trouble seeing what you are looking at. Its my fault I know, I am getting old and don't see too well anymore, but could you use a pointer like a pencil or something to point to things on the screen? Also, you do a much better job than most with glare from the sun, but if you cut one side out of a cardboard box and put it around the sonar unit it might help. Thank you for your videos. Im sorry if this is too picky.

rodmaciva thanks man. I would go with humminbird if you are looking for value and clarity of picture. Helix graphs are pretty good. I would get at least a helix 7. There is a very noticeable difference between having mega imaging and not I will say! Thanks for watching!

I love how that old hummingbird can still show fish better than most these new other brand... i have other brand who say clearVu side image and all these crap but yet you take it out and use the side imaging and cant see nothing and cant interpret nothing. Make you wonder why they even bother to spend money on making it and but cant see jack shit!!! Its so mind boggling... thats why im sticking with humminbird when it comes to side imaging!

How can you tell how deep the fish are on the side when they are off the bottom?
@ClearWaterCrappie

BAZ1NGA510 it’s really a guessing game.. the further away the fish is from the shadow that usually means they are higher in the water column. I usually don’t know exactly how deep until I catch one. Thank you for watching!
