Toss up whether ebay pulls the listing on that badge if you list it with them, they do take stuff like that down. Nice finds, you did well.

Thanks for the complement and for watching! You're right, it really is a coin toss with modern badges on whether they get pulled or not. I never have trouble with antique badges, but I've had moderns get pulled in the past. At that price though, they're just too hard to pass up because badges can bring great money.

What thrift store do you hit in the Daytona area?

Hi Lyle! When I’m in Daytona, I usually go to City Thrift, Goodwill, Salvation Army, The Humane Society, and DOC 'For The Least Of These' Thrift Store. They are all within about a five mile range of each other. There may be a couple in that area as well that I can’t remember off the top of my head but those are all good starts. If you open your maps app and type in “thrift store” they should all pop up. Hope this helps!

Do you think it’s fair to take 50% off an item that you can make 500% of profit?

Depends on the situation. There are many times when I purchase items to resell that I notice when people underprice things, and actually give them more than they were asking for. In this case yes, I do feel as if the negotiation was fair. I made him an offer based upon what I was comfortable with paying. The item was missing parts, and is an electronic device that I couldn't test at the flea market. If it didn't work, I would have been out money and the seller would have been unfair to me. He couldn't guarantee it would work. I didn't use any intimidating negotiating tactics, was polite, and my offer was reasonable. He wanted to make the sale (he got the item I bought for free), and called me back (when my camera was off) after I politely respected his original price. When you handle negotiating the right way, neither party loses and both the buyer and the seller win. I'm not in the business of scamming people, and most resellers handle business professionally in this manner.

I’m not judging you just I went through the same situation so many times. Thanks for the positive content you are providing for us.
