It's sad imo because the man and child missed out due to the mother abandoning the child into the adoption/foster care system without notifying the father. This happens way too often and some of the fathers who find out earlier struggle to get custody of their child from the adoptive parents.

Yeah, this story immediately reminded me of Moses, from The Bible. How the Hebrew Israelite woman/slave that cared for him during his infancy, and would’ve been the one to breastfeed him, was his own mother, unbeknownst to the Egyptian princess that was using her services for such, and likely also unknown by Moses for most or all of his life, too.

I am sure that guy loves all of them and even if the parents all love each other they respect each other. The further you go back the harder it was for young people to take care of their children. Now days they even have family dorms and child care in most colleges or they help you with finding those resources.
