This was an excellent topic today and really hit home to me right now. I am 73 years old still trying to figure out who I am and what my purpose is. You’re such an inspiration to me and inspire me to think deeper and “have the courage to be.” ❤

☮️🌎🌲 It is hard to find yourself. When you do it can be a lonely place. In this day and age it is getting more difficult connecting to others. We are living in a time when people are having a hard time accepting each other for who they are. I love your outlook that we are all on the journey together. This brings hope to all of us. I do believe we have to put our differences aside for the greater purpose of humanity, earth, and the universe. I would like to add you are blessed to be able to help us make connections. 🍁

WOW! Fantastic video and subject matter.👏 At 77, I often think about how to live fully, even though I can’t do things that I did, physically when I was 50 or 60. I’ve always been a pleaser but am currently working at being me and doing what I want to do. However, my main focus is Searching, searching, searching for refinding my God and my faith that there IS something bigger than us. The thought that the power of nature could be one of these things, gives me a bit of hope. I firmly believe that someone (Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, etc.) created this universe. But I still cannot get rid of the idea that when we die - that is it.

Thank you and good morning Margaret. You are such a great person. Todays topic is as you said a hard one. We are all dealing with it in different ways. My goal is to spend time understanding my family better. I am in need of freedom of my thoughts, goals and a high power for me to share with so that I don't feel so scared and alone with all of this. I wish peace for us all. You are an inspiration and I appreciate you talking to us all about this. Have a glorious day my friend. My love.

Great job, Margaret! Nuanced and thoughtful discussion about Comparative Religion. Freedom FROM religion is important too.

Thanks, Margaret, for addressing this most important subject in everyone's life! Spirituality is above and "takes under its umbrella" any religion. The word "Finding..." in the title has a special meaning since we are not "provided' with the "Courage to Be" at the birth time, we have to FIND/GROW it in our consciousness daily. In my view, Eckhart Tolle helps the most in approaching this goal by teaching joyful acceptance of what "IS" at present moment.

Very pragmatic & natural to consider the “closing of our earthly breaths” … post our 60th birthday. As a child of God … my biggest “earthly deposit” has been to serve others …in areas I’m uniquely gifted in. To give. Until my breath is no longer needed … and I’m called “home.”✨ So nothing profound truthfully. But rather something “daily.” To be of service to family, friends, colleagues. Gives my life a moment to moment divine purpose … to serve when opportunities present themselves. It’s been a simple, profound, loving life … so far … as I turn 67 this December. Faith will one day be actualized. Hope will one day be unnecessary. But love ❤ that will continue forever.

Dear Margaret. Thank you for this wonderful video. You have found the words that I’d not be able to find to describe just how I feel as I approach my older age now. Thank you for the book recommendation. I also completely understand comments from other sisters here. Much peace and love to everyone. 🙏

Thank Margaret for all the encouragement you have shared in our olden golden life journey. Be strong! COURAGE The quality of being strong, bold, daring, valiant. Courage is the opposite of fear, timidity, and cowardice. The Christian Scriptures teachings in; 2 Timothy 1:7. "For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but one of power and of love and of soundness of mind. The Hebrew verb most frequently expressing the sense of being courageous is cha·zaqʹ. It basically signifies “BE STRONG.” ❤😂

Thank you for having the courage to address these difficult topics in such a compassionate and inclusive way. Your timing is spot on. I believe the courage to exist and flourish in todays world is a battle every demographic is struggling with. Your comparison of the social struggles after WW II strongly resonates with todays world climate. Tillich’s book is my next purchase and one I will recommend to my adult grandchildren. Sending blessing your way.

I feel caring for family and close friends is a primal instinct, however, it does not exclude concern for the environment, or injustices due to wars and the feelings of helplessness at not having any control over it.

Hi Maryanne! I'm sorry you are going through this. I recently went through a similar situation. I don't have dental phobia, but have a new dentist I dont fully trust. Had to go back twice because the cavity was under an old crown, and a new crown was made for me. It wasn't entirely pleasant. But the pain is GONE! That is the main thing. 🌺

Hello Maryanne, I wonder if you think about the relief you will feel after the dentist fixes your sore tooth will help? Sometimes focusing on the end result does help me cope when I am faced with scary situations such as this . All the best.

Breathe deeply and regularly during the treatment. Don’t focus on your mouth, imagine you get out of your body… and you fly… what do you see, hear, feel… continue breathing consciously and go on flying 🪽

There is a difficulty nowadays where depression seems to have become an epidemic, not to mention other mental illnesses. A person in such a state is unable to "think" much, find joy in anything let alone find him or herself. That said, each person's upbringing greatly configures their later years. Thinking too much and rumination are to be avoided. Learn critical thinking. Beleive one third of what you hear. My godfather used to say' life is a mystery" . A wise man. A male cousin said to me recently " you are your own woman". And my husband says "you allow the dynamic of each day to carry you forward.". So, no dithering . I am a skeptic, and I always "want to know". I get on well with people, and avoid those who are flaky and insincere. Snowflakes, wokery and PC stuff get me down. L.

You can't build a foundation on abstracts. The cornerstone has to be truth. When you read some author or phillosopher's ideas, you're putting your trust in a fallible person who isn't sure of their own journey. It's like walking in a fog, you're not sure which direction to take-you may fall in a hole.

Line Hi Caroline. I understand what you’re saying but I think there’s a very big difference between reading philosopher’s ideas and bringing my ultimate. trust in them. I am a vulnerable and questioning person as they are but sometimes people come out of a problem or a lifestyle concern for a different and sometimes helpful perspective and I find that very enriching I don’t think it’s like being in a fog is more like light coming in but again we must have a different point of you on this. I really do appreciate your comment and feedback .

I believe we were created as Spiritual beings, and I know when my time on this earth is over I will spend eternity with the one true God and His Son Jesus. So for me everyday is a blessing.I don’t have concerns or worried about anything, as I know God has complete control of my life.
