So I set out to Find the builder or builders to do the work, a Structural Engineer - as there were structural walls I needed. Building Control/Planners - I had to notify the authorities. My home insurance needed to be told, what was going on.
With hindsight, as I had decided not to appoint an architect/architectural technician and I had no real knowledge of the building techniques, regulations, systems etc. I was pinning all my hopes on finding the right builders/tradesmen. The additional problem was that I did not know any builders.
