Every Sunday, I make a cup of coffee and sit with my journal, and these coffee talks and reflect on my life. Absolutely loved this one with journaling prompt, feel these kind are better than just coffee talks as the audience is participating in the conversation from their end rather than just listening. I anyway always keep my journal out whenever I listen to coffee talks. Kalyn, one suggestion, I would love if you had people over on these coffee talks as well, and we get to hear more stories, more experiences.

I have followed you for so many years and this video describes my situation so perfectly. I have excelled and focused every inch of myself into my career. I have my dream car and brought my first house with my partner that most people couldn’t dream of affording…all at the age of 23. I convinced myself that if I had all these things, I didn’t need a family or love to make me happy. And then when I had it all, I had never felt such profound sadness in my entire life. My first thought…is this it? Is this all life has to offer? I’m only just pulling through the other end of this. I really lost myself somewhere along the way. This just hit such a nerve within me and it was so beautifully explained. You never fail to give me clarity on how to better my life or situation. Thank you ❤

I can't comment anything without throwing all my dirty laundry to youtube 😂 Typed a long ass comment and then deleted it. But anw, such a chill vibe, feels like I'm hanging out with a friend ♥️ What I've learned so far is to live from a rooted place of personal values and align your every day actions to that core 🙏🏼

that last question broke me. my answer is I'm avoiding a hard conversation (possibly a confrontation, which is something I always avoid) that's keeping me from something... someone... very important.

What I’m avoiding is definitely paying off debt, probably because I’ve been in it so long it seems like it’s not possible to be out of it. But if anyone has ideas on how to romanticise that then I’m all ears 🙏

So similar to my family’s Bengali quick meal: rice, daal and a omelette with onions and green chillis. Mmmm. Thanks Rajiv, and yes, always best eaten with your right hand. Maybe with some mango pickle.

This was so good! Feeling convicted over here! You remind me, with that last prompt, or a book called Comfort Crisis by Micheal Easter. He speaks of a Mysogi being the thing that brings you to what you thought was your limit, and finding you can go beyond that. I'm feeling very inspired to tackle big things!

I usually watch/listen to your talks on the weekends but lately I’ve been doing this during the week to start my mornings. You’re always uplifting and you give me a boost to start the day. But your videos also have me asking myself deep questions. I’m in my second year of college and I’ve been struggling with the decision on what to major in. At first it was Geology, I’ve always loved science and I thought I found what was right for me. Then during the second semester of my first year, I was really drawn to writing. I tried to avoid the thought of switching my major because I honestly believed I found what I wanted to do but I knew deep down it wasn’t right for me. Once I sat down and thought it out, one of the main reasons I wanted to have a career in Geology was due to the amount of money that came with it. It occurred to me that it wasn’t because I wanted to do it, it was for a reason that focused more on my wants than my needs. During my decision process, I watched one of your videos talking about loss, changes and not having all the answers. It was like the answering was staring me right in the face but I was trying to ignore it. I decided to make the decision to switch my majors from Geology to English Lit and since doing so, I feel better. I look forward to my classes and it’s exciting. Each time I watch your videos, there’s always something in them that I can relate to. I love watching/listening to your coffee talks, thank you for being the sun to our sunflowers!❤️ Side-note: I’m currently going through a best friend break-up and it’s been difficult because we’ve been through a lot together but at the same time, I started to realize how much she brought me down and how toxic the friendship really was. Any advice on toxic friendships and setting boundaries within friendships and how to deal with the toxicity that could arise? Especially if one person won’t accept boundaries or if they get upset when you try to have an adult conversation with them about your feelings? How to deal with toxic friends, taking a step back and viewing everything from a different perspective and doing what’s better for your mentality? It’s been a rough few weeks.
