In this presentation (PART 2), you will learn about some new, exciting, and advanced features of Fetal Intelligent Navigation Echocardiography (FINE) that have recently been developed. You can use these tools to bring high quality prenatal screening and diagnosis of congenital heart disease to all pregnant women.
In FINE PART 1: NEW AND ADVANCED FEATURES, we reviewed 5 ways to simplify the FINE method further. Here, you will learn about performing quantitative fetal cardiac measurements (e.g. Automatic Cardiac Axis), and how to improve the success of obtaining fetal cardiac views (Maestro Planar Navigation) in the FINE method.
FINE is a novel sonographic method to examine the fetal heart. This method automatically generates and displays nine standard fetal cardiac views simultaneously. It simplifies the fetal cardiac examination, shortens examination time, and reduces operator dependency. FINE has recently been shown to have high sensitivity (98%) and specificity (93%) for the detection of congenital heart disease.
